when detoxifying the body, i always prefer to use natural foods which helps elimnate toxins. but it is also more convenient to use those commercial detox products.
I believe short fasts are extremely beneficial for the body, mind and emotions. Not only do they give your body a chance to rest and recover, they also focus your mind and make you realise how much you have to be grateful for if you normally have plentiful amounts of food. An extra bonus is the detox benefits!
I think it is important, once you’ve done a detox, to make sure you do some sort of diet modification or other to ensure that you don’t get all full of nasties again.
