Last year we had a great time watching Biggest Loser Couples and I think that as a season went it was really educational, entertaining and had a bit of drama that made it lots of fun to watch. Tomorrow, Tuesday September 16th the next season of Biggest Loser Families starts and I am again really excited to watch and blog about it.
This year there are eight teams of two and to add a bit of confusion there are four teams of husbands and wives and four teams of parent and child. The trainers again this year are Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper.
This year the Biggest Loser site has a lot of info on the team members as well as a little bio and the starting weight for each participant. Also they are letting us know that the teams are split up with Bob Harper training the husband and wife teams and Jillian Michaels training the parent and child teams.
If that is the case the with Bob will be:
Green Team - Adam and Stacey
Red Team - Phillip and Amy
Orange Team - Ed and Heba
Brown Team - Brady and Vicky
Jillian’s team will be:
Yellow Team - Jerry with daughter Colleen
Pink Team - Michelle with daughter Renee
Purple Team - Shellay with daughter Amy
Grey Team - Tome Sr with son Tom Jr
Two Amys? Whats with that? Anyway there are a few people that need to lose a lot of weight from the pics that they show but interestingly the people on the show look more like “regular” people. In looking at the weights of the people from this season it looks like they all still have a lot to lose but sometimes I find it shocking how normal a person looks in society that needs to lose 50 pounds or more.
Another interesting not this season is that Allison Sweeney who started hosting last year will apparently sneak off sometime this season to have a baby. I am not sure how the taping of the show works exactly but with her new baby daughter due in January, I wonder who the midseason host would be?
Since this is a kick off post to the new season I would love to see some comments as to what you would hope to see and what you hope not to see. I am sure things well be lively and fun over the next few weeks with as I suspect 2 hour episodes of the Biggest Loser every week.
