So the season is underway with the classic long 2 hours of TV that we are used to. Shouldn’t they make the show shorter so that people can get their exercise? Anyway they had a bit of an intro of each of the people and then the first challenge was running a mile to see who would start with immunity, not good for a couple of people as Moe and Tracy had to be arilifted to the hospital. There are real gut wrenching stories as I was saying in my last post but all of these people realize that this is a real final chance for them to make a change to live a healthy and longer life. The toughest story has to be the lady who lost her family, husband and two kids in a car accident three years ago. This story from Abby really broke up the whole group and pulled them out of their own dramas realizing just how quickly your entire world can change After this story all the new Biggest Loser Season 8 contestants picked their teams of two to form partnerships for this season. OK, so first weight in of the season and most of these people have no idea how much they weight. How could you not know from one week or month to the next what is going on with your weight? Especially if you are really really overweight and nervous about your health? This season, Season 8 of Biggest Loser has the two coaches, Bob Harper and Jillian Micheals teaming up as co-coaches for everyone which will be interesting and fun to watch since both of them have a different coaching system than the other. The teams finally got to meet the trainers and then went through the last chance workout. One of the dramas on this episode was Shay, who weights in at 476 pounds and in the gym she decides that she can not do it and quits but after a few minutes seems to come to her senses and gets back in. It may seem really early for people to be threatening to quit but after all the excitement the exercise must be a killer to all of these people and they realize they may be in over their heads. In the end the way that they decided to pick who would be kicked off was again set by the team of two that lost the lowest percentage of weight. The lowest was the team of Julio and Alexandra, both of whom had lost 13 pounds this past week and in the end Alexandra, who even though she lost lost 13 pounds in a week, was the one that was kicked off. I am glad to see the new season of Biggest Loser start. It will be fun to watch all of the stories unfold again this season. Looking to make a change and lose some weight?
