I was sure that the Canadian government, like all governments would be interested in telling people ways in wheich they could lose weight. I just found a short, 6 page PDF file that the government created with some quick ideas on how to lose weight.

While these tips do have some interesting information, personally many of the recommendations go against what we know now about health benefits of eating according to the glycemix index and monitoring your insulin levels.
IMO a book I just read called Healthy for Life by Ray Strand offers gbetter suggestions on what someone can do to eat well. This book is especially great if you have diabetes or have a family history of heart disease or strokes.
