Fat Loss for Idiots is a site and diet that my wife had learned about from her stepmom. Initially I looked at the Fat Loss For Idiots website and saw that after clicking though a bunch of pages of information I found that the program was only $39.
As a fitness and health enthusiast I know that there are no easy ways out of losing weight so when I first saw all of the hype around fat loss for idiots I was of course initially skeptical.
I have scoured the internet looking for more information on the Fat Loss For Idiots program and would like to present this to you here so that you can make an informed decision when you visit the Fat Loss For Idiots site.
Lose Weight Fast with Fat Loss 4 Idiots?
Fat Loss for Idiots claims you can lose 9 pounds lost in 11 days. Wow, is this possible? You probably have your doubts but I know because I have seen it happen, with the right diet and exercise program you can lose weight and lose it quickly.
Over the last year or so I have received over 200 success stories from people just like you. You can see them below.
After that quick weight loss it is important that you continue eating according to the plan and get some exercise of any kind and you will continue losing weight. The way the diet cycles means that you should lose weight every week with no bad weeks at all.
What do I not like about Fat Loss for Idiots?
Fat Loss for Idiots may be getting a lot of support by a lot of people but it is not all perfect. In watching how people use the diet I have found that some people have real problems with fat Loss for Idiots. First of all there is the dreaded “fruit day” one day of the cycle you eat nothing but fruit. Many people do not like this even though we all know how good fruit is for us.
One other problem with Fat loss for idiots is that you are supposed to eat until satisfied. Don’t stop when you are hungry and do not overeat but just until satisfied. But how much is satisfied? I am not sure what to say about this. People like to have a measured amount of food and doing it yourself is a little stressful.
Fat Loss for Idiots Meal Plan
This is a great part of the fat loss for idiots program
Fat Loss for Idiots food is made up of lean proteins, fruit and vegetables, and the sources of fat come from whole foods (such as cottage cheese or eggs). There are some starchy carbohydrates (such as oats and pasta). The day is divided into 4 meals that should be eaten at a maximum of 2 1/2 hours apart. There is no calorie or carb counting, no limit on portion size – Fat Loss 4 Idiots says you “just eat short of being full”.
After the 11 day meal plan there is a 3 day “cheat” – where you get to eat whatever you want. Then you are back into the 11 day plan again.
The real difference between the fat loss for idiots plan and other plans is that the diet is purposely confusing your body so it never thinks it is starving. This is not a new meal program in that regard. Body for Life and other programs have long advocated confusing your body by having a day or more off of the diet so that you are in more control of how you eat. Fat Loss for Idiots does a good balance of this.
The meal plan is created by selecting from a list of preferred foods. These are then used to generate your meal plan.
Fat Loss for Idiots also includes a very extensive handbook that teaches you how to to eat, how not to eat and what is important in your goal of losing weight.
Exercise on Fat Loss 4 Idiots
Fat loss for idiots is a diet program. One thing and one thing only. The people that come up with the meal plans look at you as a user of the service as a person that is mainly sedentary.
Fat Loss for idiots recommends that you do get some exercise for additional weight loss. They encourage walking and other low intensity exercise of 30 minutes a day.
Fat Loss for Idiots – Is a Cheap Diet Program
Fat Loss For Idiots is a cheap diet. When you buy the diet is gives you access to an online diet generator as well as a diet workbook. Nutritionally it is a reduced carb diet that cycles macro-nutrient ratios (to try and trick your metabolism). It recommends common-sense weight loss principles (brisk walking, plenty of water, etc), and contains only whole foods (no processed foods, high-sugar foods, or supplements).
Here are some good reviews for the fat loss for idiots program:
“I started this diet 3 days ago, and have lost 2 and a half pounds so far.”
“I have now been on this diet for 11 days and have lost 6 and a half pounds. I am very happy with that, especially since I have not exercised or done the recommended walking.”
“On Fat loss for idiots I lost 7 pounds the first 11 days! I’m happy with that considering (like I mentioned) I had not done the suggested walking.”
The really nice thing about the fat loss for idiots diet is that it is cheap, and you buy your own food. No need to buy prepackaged food and expensive supplements which is the downfall that I always find with the more famous diets.
Fat Loss 4 Idiots – Will Work For Most People
There are a few things that seem to be really good in the fat loss for idiots diet and plan. Firstly the cheap nature means that you do not have to buy and create a complex meal plan. Secondly there is a cycling of your diet so that you keep your metabolism from working against you. And thirdly the diet is incredibly popular on the internet and the reason for that is that it seems to work for just about anyone.
Lastly there is a guarantee that this will work or you get your money back. I do not see any way that anyone can lose by at least trying Fat Loss 4 Idiots.
Who shouldn’t do Fat Loss for Idiots?
I have not been critical at all about Fat Loss for Idiots but I have to admit that there are some drawbacks to the diet.
If you exercise a lot Fat Loss for Idiots may not be for you. The diet itself is a diet designed to help you lose weight but people that get a lot of exercise, and hour or more a day, may find that the diet does not offer enough calories.
The diet itself can get a bit boring. There is a lot of repetition in the menu plan but most people seem to be OK with this as this is supposed to be a diet that helps you lose the weight that you want and then you ease off to a diet that you can live with for life.
I Really Recommend Fat Loss for Idiots
There is no magic behind Fat Loss for Idiots but really what it is a good focused meal plan and sensible exercise for beginners. Although this may not seem like much it is very important in my mind to be doing something that will give you the satisfaction that you are making the changes in YOUR life that will help you lose weight. This diet will work for you.
I am a big fan of Fat loss for idiots for no other reason than it is nice and simple, and it really does work, if you follow a diet that changes what you eat and moves you in a better direction nutritionally than what you are now.
And the simple fact is that at $39 fat loss 4 idiots is much cheaper than even a couple of weeks of Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers.

One month from today, if you commit now, you can be 10-20 pounds lighter. Otherwise, in a month, if you do nothing you will be the same weight or even slightly more than you are today. The choice is yours.

HI I was wondering if someone could answer my question, I would really appreciate it
Naomi-
I am on day 5, and I have lost 5 lbs (as of yesterday am). Eating till satisfied can be tricky since YOU have to tell yourself you’re done. And have had a few twinges of hunger between meals in the early days, the all fruit day was pretty tough…BUT you just have to stick with it. As far as portion control, use common sense…you are on a diet, just because you can eat “however much” you want, doesn’t mean to go hog wild at every meal. I think that is probably why some people are gaining some weight back. Also, while you dont need to count every calorie, you should realize that 1 regular cheese slice has about 100 calories in it. You shouldnt eat 5 to 10 slices at once. And when you have the chicken and green beans option, go for more green beans than chicken. As far as the deli meat goes, I have about 2 ounces, which is a serving on package. And for the chicken, you should stick to breast pieces about the size of your fist. Or better opt for pre-cut FRESH tenders, and eat 3 of those. You have to use some discipline on this diet…and that is what will help you lose the weight. Good luck. I will come back and let you know the results at the end of the 11 days. That is my test to see if it really works, and we shall see then.
And on another note, as anyone done the Beyond Calories? How much did you lose in 10 days on that?
I am trying to loose about 30-40 lbs before my wedding this coming June. I started the diet about three days ago. I am hoping for results by the 11th day. I haven’t weighed myself because I am afraid that if I didn’t loose anything yet that I will give up and go back to my old eating habits. SO I will wait until the 11th day and see what happens. So far the diet has been great. I haven’t been hungry at all. The fruit day was a tough one for me. I like fruit, but just not a lot of it. But if it will help me get the result I need to look great in my wedding dress then I’m all for pushing through it. I will check back.
Jennifer and Katie, I am rooting for both of you on your diet experience. Jennifer, I have only done the Beyond Calories diet. The first 10 days I lost over 11 lbs. I did the second 10 days and lost 8 lbs. I have started my next 10 day venture. I do have a hard time eating all 6 meals a day! I can usually get in 4 to 5 meals.
Katie, I wish you the best so you look the best in your wedding dress! Please keep us posted and I will help in any way.
Kevin
My first 2 cycles I did the exact same menu..that’s okay right? I mean obviously it is because I lost 15 lbs…but after reading a bit it acts like you SHOULD change your menu often..so it switches your calories or whatever…well I have a new menu but it looks to be about the same..as far as the order and type of calories that I eat…I think I’m gonna do a third menu and then just rotate those 3 so I don’t get sick of eggs lol…but is it really switching and rotating types of calories because it seems to be in the same order? Or does it mean within those 11 days its gonna switch the types of calories not necessarily with the different menus? Either way, I’m not questioning it! It works GREAT! I was just a bit confused on that part…This diet is awesome! I’m spreading the word and I have a few people doing it with me already!
Im lookinf foward to starting the diet, but i take protien pill for my nails and hair called biotin. will that effect my diet. Im also wondering if the diet helps you loose weight on your stomach also does it help you loose inches in the waist.I have a membership to ballys total fitness so therefore I can work out everyday for 30mins. can somebody give me some insight on this please
Hi people i have been reading a lot of these comments and i have to say a lot of these diets are not going to work, not because you are doing anything wrong but because you have to start on the inside. did you know that our intestines is the working hub of the body, if your intestines are full and caked up with stuff and parasites most of what you eat or dont eat is not going to get through to your vital organs anyway.think about it all the food we eat now adays is full of chemicals and hormones that are toxic to our bodies. is it any wonder that we get sick and unhealthy and no amount of drugs or vitamins are going to work . if your pipes are clogged nothing gets through. and did you know that all that stuff caked on your intestinal walls weighs quite a lot. get rid of that and you have lost a little weight straight away ,then imagine how much your body will enjoy consuming the right foods for nurishment and be able to lose weight more efficiently not to mention how much more energy you will have any way just thought i would give this info to you as i have done this colon cleansing thing and i was just shocked and suprised at the same time, amazing results. anyway will be back later joejoe
Hi,
I am on Day 6 of my first cycle. When I weighed myself yesterday, I had lost 3 pounds. When I weighed myself this morning, I was back up and have now only lost a total of 1.4 pounds. I’ve been exercising for 30 to 45 minutes a day, drinking water, and I haven’t cheated once. Am I just weighing myself too much or am I actually doing something wrong? Should I cut my portions even more? I’m only eating till satisfied, not full. Maybe I need to eat until I’m less satisfied? I’d really appreciate any advice, because I’m very serious about this diet and I’m discourage that I’m not seeing the numbers like everyone else. Thanks! Stef
I need to lose 80 lbs +/-. I’ve done WW and several other diets. I lose a few lbs and then gain most of it back. Right now I am researching several different diet plans. I need one that has some flexability to it. I am a mother of 2 teenagers who works full time at a sit down desk job.
Ah, to Stefanie…definitely don’t weigh yourself everyday…you’ll just get discouraged..maybe weigh yourself every week…I usually weigh myself after the 11 days…and then again at the beginning of the next cycle after the 3 cheat days..just to see where I’m at again…but weighing yourself everyday is never a good idea!
How do I download the eBook Beyond Calories? I purchased the package together and am not sure where to go to download this book?
Please help!
Thanks!
I had a baby a month ago and am nursing. Can I do this plan?
Look, for anyone looking to do this diet, it should fit in with whatever is going on in your lifestyle (in my opinion.) This diet is exceptional and the only one I have ever found to work and is my go to anytime I need it. First of all I started this diet when it was still weightloss4idiots.com, and in 1 month lost 32 pounds on it. I kept the weight off until I had my son a little over a year ago, and since then did the diet and lost it within the first 11 days of the diet. I am again going at the diet, because I myself needed to lose more then the 32 pounds in the first place, but got caught up in a lot of things and didn’t keep it up. Anyway I am going back on it Monday and am confident it will still work for me.
But for those of you getting discourage, the best tip ever would be
*Sorry for short post before*
Look, for anyone looking to do this diet, it should fit in with whatever is going on in your lifestyle (in my opinion.) Anyway I am going back on it Monday and am confident it will still work for me.
But for those of you getting discourage, the best tip ever would be QUIT WEIGHING YOURSELF EVERYDAY! I know it’s hard and completely understand that needing to know if it’s working, but your only making it harder on yourself. What you need to do is one the very first day get up use the bathroom and then get directly on the scale (DO NOT EAT YET), record that number down; this will be the truest reading you will get. Then on the 12th day get up and again use the bathroom and don’t eat, and weigh yourself, you will then see the difference. Also make sure to take in enough water to flush an salt that your body may hold, this is also very important because it will make a big difference in what you weigh.
Just make sure that you stick with it, it can be hard on those days you just want something quick and greasy or sugary, but remember you get 3 whole days for that at the end. And those worried about going off for the first 3 days, just don’t go CRAZY and I mean consume 4, 5, 6 thousand or more calories, be realistic. But enjoy the foods you love, and trust me you will find that you eat less to after your 11 days.
Oh! And another great tool for everyone to log on and use is FitDay.com! I looooooooooove that site, it lets you track your progress in many different ways by tracking calories daily, activities and how many calories you burn doing those, your measurements (even has a little body that changes to look like your proportions) so that every 11 days you can really see what its doing for you, and mood indicator that you can fill out so you can see if that it’s helping your mood too! So check it out, i think it’s great and helpful.
I will also post my progress after 11 days so people can see that it really works.
How do you get to the diet generator to sign in? I would like to generate a new diet for the next 11 days.
I’ve been ion this diet for months now, and it works like clock work.

Your blog is really nice and works as an advisor, I look forward to your new links and articles. I am happy with the old results.
I have tried this diet off and on. I have found that if you stick to it and don’t overeat it works but if you cheat before the 3 cheat days and continue to eat even after feeling full, you will find the results to be discouraging.
I am starting this diet again today (Day 1) and inted to do many cycles. I have a first cycle goal of 10 lb. and 7lb each cycle after that until having lost a total of at least 50 lb. So, by those calcualtions I need to have at least a total of 6 cycles or 12 weeks which should end by May 10. It is going to be intense, especially because in March I have my anniversary and my birthday celebration. Wish me courage. Will keep you posted bext I can.
I bought FL4I about 3 weeks ago. I did it for 3 days, then went on my monthly binge eating. I’m a gym junky so I convinced myself I didn’t really need the diet. I was wrong. I’m a terrible overeater of terrible food. I’m starting again tomorrow (odd day, but I’ve been sick and only eating chicken broth). Hopefully I’ll be up for the food on the menu! Will be posting! I love this site!
Where is the order form ?
I know how you feel Margaret. The first time I went to the Fat Loss for Idiots page I was laughing at it and the terrible design
I have more respect for it now, not the page but the diet specifically.
You have to go to the 3rd page I beleive and it will give you a choice between the basic workbook and diet generator or the enhanced version that includes the Beyond Calories ebook. This should get you there.
Let me know if you are having any other problems with ordering.
After spending the day reading every message on here I went a head and purchased the diet. I must admit ti’s the wierdest diet I’ve every come accross but I’m convinced that it will going to work. I’m 5′8 and weigh 160lbs so I want to lose at least 15lbs -20lbs but no matter how much I starve myself on low cal low carb diets and workout my weight doesn’t shift…so, I’m really hopeful that this wonderfully weird plan will work for me! I’m going to begin on Sunday, I’ll keep you all posted on my progress!n_n
BTW, Does anyone know how the food is supposed to be prepared? I’ve looked at both diets and neither say if you should grill, boil or fry your chicken & fish.
Hey Joi, I am glad that you like the diet. It is indeed strange and of course any diet that tells you to “eat until you are satisfied” is great as it makes weight loss less scary and rids you of some of those unhealthy cravings.
As far as cooking your food, you still want to avoid eating fried food and you can really mix things up by grilling or baking the chicken and fish but i am not sure how you would boil it successfully.
Good luck with it, keep the questions coming.
Melanie, I believe you are suppose to alter the menu every new cycle. If you have a really short list of foods you like – still regenerate a new menu with those foods. You should get a new 11 day menu that is different each time. Someone made a comment that they hate the all fruit day. That person hasn’t been on the diet or the plan is different then my plan purchased 2 years ago, on my plan I get deli sandwich as one of meals and it’s a doozy. Follow the diet to the “T” and I guarantee (if you really are overweight) that you will lose 10 lb’s and feel better to boot. Get a friend to do the diet for mutual support. Sorry I added all this extra stuff. Regenerate the diet, each time is a new menu on my package. I travel a lot so I make simple to make choices when I’m on the road.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL, THIS WORKS!!
Bob Pedersen
Hey..
Well Done Bill For Answering Literally Everyone’s Questions…You Seem Like A Pretty Good Guy. Anyway, Im 16 And I Weigh 19 Stone, I Don’t Know How Much That Is In Pounds But Im Thinking About Buying The Program, Ive Tried Not Eating Too Much And Exercising But It Just Isn’t Working Unfortunately.
Bill…What Types Of Foods Does The Diet Generator Generate? Im A Full Time Student And Can Only Shop Once A Week [Well..Thats The Only Time I Have To Shop] I’m Looking To Lose A Massive 100 Pounds [lbs]. Any Extra Info Would Be Useful Thank You. [Please Just Reply Back On Here And I'll Be Back Later To Check]
What happens once you’ve reached your goal? I’m afraid that once I reach my desired weight and don’t do the plan that I will gain the weight back.
hey guys i cant figure out how to get to log in on my diet generator little help please
I’m 18 and when i first started this diet i was at 150lbs. at the end of my first cycle i was 133 and gained 2lbs in my cheated days…i cheated ALOT. so I’m in the middle of my second cycle..i havent lost anything more this first 6 days and it bothers me and i dont know whats wrong……..but also i’m about to start my mestrual period…could that have anything to do with me staying at my weight this week or am i really not loosing weight anymore?…I’m not gonna quit the diet till after my period to see if it was just me or really this diet doesnt work for me anymore….o yeah my 15 year old sister tried the diet also and she lost 11 pounds she looks great…this diet is great for young people too…it is so easy to follow i havent cheated at all
I started this diet on 4/1 weighing 184. Today, 4/4 my weight is at 178! I was really worried about the fruit day because the only fruit I like are apples but it wasn’t bad. It made the sandwich taste that much better. I can’t wait to see my weight loss after day 11.
I found this diet online and I am just wondering what form of dairy do you get on the plan??? So far I have read nothing about people getting to have milk, cheese, or yogurt do you get to have any of these??
I am only on the second day of this program. I woke up this morning and was four pounds lighter. I love it! My only problem is that I’ve been lightheaded. I know that probably means I should eat more at each meal, but I don’t want to overdo it and “stuff” myself. I just want to know if I’m feeling hungry or lightheaded am I even allowed to eat any fruit? I’ve been trying to drink water and a diet soda but it will not go away. Anyways, besides that I really do like this diet. I feel confident and I’m very excited to loose 30 pounds (my goal). Good luck to everyone!
Hello there,
I came across this diet while looking up and researching information about the Medifast diet system. I read that Fat-Loss-For-Idiots gave the same results for a fraction of what the shakes and pre-packaged meals would cost. Being that I am a teacher and broke, Fat-Loss-For-Idiots intrigued me.
The web page had me skeptical at first, but, I decided to keep on reading as well as look for reviews. So far , a grand majority of the reviews have been positive. I even looked up the diet on YouTube; again the majority of the comments were very favorable.
I hate to appear overly cynical, or overly inquisitive, but, it is in my nature (and part of my job). I am curious as to who is/are the creator(s) of this diet. What lead to the development of this eating system? Is the diet the result of research? I am not posing these questions to appear accusatory, I am just honestly curious. I plan on purchasing the diet, but before I do, I really would love to know more about who created it, their methodology and what lead them to this discovery.
Thanks!
Jim
Fat loss 4 idiots seems to be a brilliant plan were you lose lots of weight very fast. If this is your goal and you want the skinny fat look then go for it.
Please help. I started the fat loss 4 idiots diet in mid February 09. Needless to say, I am excited about the results- I lost 10 pounds my first 11-day session, another 10lbs on the second, 5lbs on the third session, and another 5lbs on the fourth. So Im down a total of 30 pounds in eight weeks!!!! I just started a new session 5 days ago, and unfortunately I have not lost any weight yet. I must say I am a bit worried that the diet is plateau’ing and I may not loose???? I hope this is not the case because I have 50 more pounds to go to reach my goal weight. If anyone has any suggestions for me to keep up with the continuous weight loss please, please, please let me know….Thanks….
I began the FL4I about 3 1/2 weeks ago… With Easter not on my 3 days off, I restarted it on Monday. However, I have lost about 15 lbs now and am very happy about that. I never make myself feel full, but have felt satisfied on all the days except day # 2 where all you eat is fruit and one sandwich. I hope to lose about 40 lbs at least on this diet. I think it’s do-able… I also agree that it’s not a great idea to look at the scale everyday. It is tempting but it’s also depressing when you see you’ve not lost anything and that can make you feel like quitting. Jess, there is cheese in this diet to answer your question about dairy.
I am on day 3 of and like a few others I did weigh myself and have not lost an ounce… I am not letting this get to me as nothing usually comes easy or first try with me. I hope to have good results at the end of my 11 days and I will not weigh myself again now until that time. My question is….I do not know what is “just satisfied”, how do I guess on that feeling? Also, I re-read the rules and it states to wait for AT LEAST 2 1/2 hours and I notice after I eat the 2nd meal I can go about 4 hours without feeling hungry for 3rd meal, is that too long to wait?
So what exactly can you eat??? Anyone willing to share?
Does anyone know how much the enchanced version is?
been on ww since june, 2008. lost 27 pounds on ww but hit plateau in jan. 2009. started fl4i 10 days ago and have lost 7 more lbs by following it not quite religiously. fl4i is very, very easy to follow. no extra food costs or cooking fancy recipies. no thinking, weighing or point counting involved. hardly ever hungry. so far, i think it’s worth every penny. so far, very happy to have discovered it. looking forward to my 3 day break! i’ll check in again after my second 11-day period.
hi….m 19 years old…as i understand..a credit card will be required to purchase the diet chart…since i donot ave one…is it possible to get one for free??? my email is rukminimaj@gmail.com….plzz inform me…
Hi there I’ve done the fat loss for idiots diet and it does work! After the 11 days I lost the 9lbs, but a word of advice to jamalmog1 be careful not to over indulge on the cheat days as it’s possible to put some of the weight back on! I startin the diet again I’m on my second day, does any one know if you can lose the 9lbs after each cycle because I would need to do about 4cycles to reach my target weight!
Thanks x
Hello,
I just purchased this diet. I am trying to figure out how you eat 4 times a day but you need to eat every 2 1/2 hours?
Can some one help me with this? I wake up at 5:30 go to the gym eat about 7:30-8:00am then my 2nd meal would be at 10:30am 3rd meal would be at 1:00Pm and 4th meal would be at 3:30 pm? Im sure i would get hungry by 5-6?
My email is stephiny86@yahoo.com
Please let me know how you eat 4 times a day and do not go over the 2 1/2 hours
I just bought this diet today and wondering if it was a mistake. I have screwed up my metabolism before with low calorie diets and low fat diets. Will this effect my weight loss? Will this diet boost my metabolism? and also, have any of you guys gained back the weight after doing it?
I’m signed in as Ohiogal2 and can’t sign in? September 2007 Thanks

Hey i was doing the Dr. Ian and lost about 7 pounds in 9 days, but it is expensive and it requires toooo much organizing. Has anyone tried that challenge? Also can someone please send me a copy of how a couple of days meal plans should go (ex: what I should eat?) I’m just not able today to purchase it, but I need to lose the weight soon… health reasons and personal. I appreciate your help. My email address is tcrockgirl@yahoo.com

Hi I am looking at starting the fat lose for idiots diet to lose weight quickly, but i’m not overweight an was wondering if it would still have the same effects? I’m 5.1 and weight 7.8 but wouldn’t mind dropping a few pounds. I’ve had a look at the menus and dont really eat that much in a day so am worried that it will have the opposite effects on me? Ne ideas?
I am a vegetarian. Is this program flexible enough to allow for soy products, beans, etc. in place of meat products?
