		<description>Starting day 6--I have lost a total of 4 lbs. Have not cheated at all and have not exercized yet--yes I know I should, there really is no excuse. This is my 3rd cycle and notice that the first half of the 11 day diet I tend to loose around 4 pounds and the second half only loose 1 - 1.5 lbs. Why? I thought it was very interesting that Mike said he was going to shorten the cycle with a cheat day in the middle and then go back to the diet. Wondering how that will work? Since I am starting day 6, I realize that I am not going to loose much the next 6 full days. I am hopeful that I could loose 2.5 lbs, hopeful..

You know for some reason I was not aware that I could add salsa to my meals. Thanks Janice. I&#039;ve added the salsa to an omlet (eggs &amp; cheese meal), to chicken and also to shrimp. Also to add something to just plain chicken, I have fried chicken breast with PAM, garlic power, oregano and lemon juice. Not bad, for me that is...I would not give it to my family though. Any other ideas? Meals can be real blan!!

		<description>I love reading all these comments.  I have done this eating plan before with success, although it was difficult given that my husband and I are not on the same page.  I had lost 7 pounds a couple of months ago which are creeping back and I need to start again before my self confidence takes too much of a dive.  I&#039;m off to buy groceries right now and I&#039;m going to watch carefully over the weekend as I&#039;ll be at events that won&#039;t be too conducive to following this, then off to the big D Day on Monday . . . .  wish me luck.</description>

Drinking plenty of water.  (I&#039;ve been getting the target amount most days) 

This is what has worked for me. I don&#039;t know if you would need to do the walking each and every day. But its been working so well that I am not going to mess with success. My cycles have been:

Cycle #1 - 13 lbs lost.
Cycle #2 -   9 lbs lost.
Cycle #3 -   8 lbs lost.
Cycle #4 -   4 lbs lost.  (I&#039;m starting day 5 of this cycle today)

You had similar results to mine on your first cycle. So its working for you. I think if you can just keep it consistent you will see the results you want.

Not saying any of this to discourage you. Hoping to motivate you some.  :)

I am down another .9 lb today for a grand total of 2 lbs so far this cycle.  It&#039;s not a lot but I don&#039;t care.  I have two more days to lose on this shorter cycle and then one cheat day so I think I can make it to my goal of 3-4 lbs.  Next week I really want to focus and not cheat at all.  In my defense, it was my hormonal time (cleaned up language for the men on this forum haha) and I did want to eat everything I saw.  I think I did well.  haha

Anyway, big walk in store for today along with the rest of my Christmas shopping.  For all you Americans who are having Thanksgiving... say screw it and eat what you want.  Thanksgiving rules!  We&#039;ve already had ours up here in Canada a while ago so I&#039;m good.  :)

That being said I&#039;m off to a fast start on cycle #4. I&#039;ve lost 3 lbs in two days.  All well and good, but I&#039;d like to see some consistency through the entire cycle. 		<description>So, here&#039;s something I&#039;m confused about.  When I first started losing weight and I got down by 10 lbs there was a pair of jeans that got a little loose on me and really felt comfortable rather than tight.  Now, down 17 lbs they&#039;re tight again.  What the?  They were freshly dryed in the machine the first time and same now so that&#039;s not it.  I haven&#039;t been measuring myself because I don&#039;t have a tape measurer but I&#039;m confused!  They should be looser!!!

Anyway, I&#039;m going to keep losing and those jeans will be perfect for me soon enough.  

I had a bit of a fall off the wagon today.  I walked by Wendys and my boyfriend called to ask what I wanted to eat.  I got us each a Baconater meal.  haha  That&#039;s a 1/2 lb burger!!!  I don&#039;t want to beat myself up over it though, so I&#039;m just going to move on and eat great tomorrow.  I&#039;m hoping for an overall loss of just 3 lbs this week.  Check back in tomorrow.</description>
		<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So, here&#8217;s something I&#8217;m confused about.  When I first started losing weight and I got down by 10 lbs there was a pair of jeans that got a little loose on me and really felt comfortable rather than tight.  Now, down 17 lbs they&#8217;re tight again.  What the?  They were freshly dryed in the machine the first time and same now so that&#8217;s not it.  I haven&#8217;t been measuring myself because I don&#8217;t have a tape measurer but I&#8217;m confused!  They should be looser!!!</p>
<p>Anyway, I&#8217;m going to keep losing and those jeans will be perfect for me soon enough.  </p>
<p>I had a bit of a fall off the wagon today.  I walked by Wendys and my boyfriend called to ask what I wanted to eat.  I got us each a Baconater meal.  haha  That&#8217;s a 1/2 lb burger!!!  I don&#8217;t want to beat myself up over it though, so I&#8217;m just going to move on and eat great tomorrow.  I&#8217;m hoping for an overall loss of just 3 lbs this week.  Check back in tomorrow.</p>

You know that sounds like a good idea and on the cheat days keep the basics of the plan.  I&#039;ll try that after I do about 2 more cycles.  

I didn&#039;t realize bananas were not on the plan (reply to an old blog) I ate them and still lost weight. Well I&#039;m on my way to the gym talk to ya later.</description>

I am doing 5 day&#039;s on the plan, then use one of my cheat day&#039;s, followed by 6 day&#039;s on the plan and then my other two cheat day&#039;s. Breaks it up a little and hopefully it will help me shed more pounds in the last 4 or 5 days. 

Going through fruit day today.</description>

It&#039;s been a while, everything was going ok on cycle 2.  Today I&#039;m on day 9, lost 4lbs so far, day 8 I fell off the wagon scrapped my knee but I&#039;m back on. I&#039;m glad my cheat days will be here soon, I&#039;m starting to get a little bored, but I can&#039;t stop because this is REALLY working for me. 		<description>Sorry Audrey, other than veggie day we&#039;re pretty much plain Janes around here.  Lots of turkey slices, cheese slices and cottage cheese for me.  I had to stop eating so much shrimp because, like you, I got sick of it very quickly.  Now I just use it every once in a while.  Try playing with your meal plans a bit and find something you like.  

For instance, if you&#039;re to eat chicken and sausage, then maybe substitute the sausage for some nice jalapeno havarti cheese melted over the chicken breast.  Baked the breast in salsa first of course.  :)  It&#039;s a nice zesty meal.  It&#039;s not huge, but remembering to stop when you&#039;re satisfied means that you get used to eating smaller meals quickly.  I usually never finish a full breat now.

I enjoy snacks of cottage cheese and peanuts.  The creamy and salty combination reminds me of the chocolate and salt combinations in treats that I like.  

You really have to watch the cheat days.  It&#039;s not permission to go whole hog and eat everything in sight.  We find around here that its usual to gain back 2-3 lbs but some of our group have done three whole days without weight gain.  It is possible.
