I really want to start posting a bit more personal thoughts here and here is a bit from the weekend.

I beleive that we all have an internal compass that tells us what we are and are not capable of and what our life is supposed to look like.

Trouble is that it is all crap fed by our ego self.

What we really need to do is to decide what we want, figure out the steps, and just do it.

My wife went away for the weekend and while she is away she has very low expectations of me. Make sure the kids make it though the weekend and don’t make a mess. Well this weekend I tried to do more. I got out and photowalked with the kids, took them swimming for a few hours and kept them entertained while spring cleaning. All this and we really had a great time together.

On Saturday night we went to my parents place and my mom told me that every day since January 2nd my mom and dad have been working out in the morning. They are vibrant and really feeling the effects of wating better and working out.

This morning I decided that I wanted to eat better to start the day. I generally have either a bagel or oatmeal in the morning but this morning I decided to try microwaving eggs and having no barbs until a couple hours after my workout. Today was a weight day and in my circuit training I was lifting heavy and supersetting or stripping weights to get the last bit of power out of my muscles, after I worked out I had eggs, some coffee, and water and no other food for a couple of hours. This lifestyle change could seems simple but it could have huge benefits.

So my question to you is: Are you making changes even if you do not think it is “normal” or “expected” from you?

I heard an interview last week with Anne Hathaway and she was saying that she is trying this year to do something new, something she has never done in her life before, every day of the year. That may seem a bit crazy but a better way to look at this is:

Where are you today, where do you want to be tomorrow, and how will you get there.

Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have reviewed the top diet on the internet and you can go and read over 200 comments people have made about why this diet has worked well for them, as well as some of the problems.

    3. Love the way your fitness tips are fitting into a realistic lifestyle approach. I have changed my physical activity by making it non-competitive and fun vs hard training! Plus, I learned a new sport…snowboarding to keep me active during winter. I discovered life is so much more fun when you are learning new things.
