The popular GI Diet a couple of years ago inspired a whole industry of looking at the Glycemic index and glycemic load and I have written about it here as well. The idea is that different carbohydrates are burned at different rates in your body and that you can use this to your advantage to lose weight. The Diet Blog just pointed me to a story from Tufts University that using a small sample seemed to show that there was no difference in weight loss between people on a low glycemic or a high glycemic diet. The ideas behind the GI diet make sense to me so it will be interesting to watch the fallout of this study and see if other studies show the same results. Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have reviewed the top diet on the internet and you can go and read over 200 comments people have made about why this diet has worked well for them, as well as some of the problems.
