Good looking fit politicians

Arianna Huffington wrote a bit of an article on how we all like to see our politicians fit and fab and perhaps a double chin will ruin anyones chances at a higher office then they have now.

Is Arianna right? Our culture tends to be a bit obsessed by looks and rating celebrities, heck the most popular non-techy blogs on the internet tend to be blogs about celebrities.

So is Arianna right? You tell me. How much does a politicians looks make a difference, if you are a democrat would you vote for a chubby Al Gore? Politics are serious but do you think that if a person does not take care of themselves should they be respected to take care of the rest of us?
