People are always asking me whether they really need to supplement or not. My stock answer is always that you may or may not need it but if you are deficient in any vitamin or mineral than it will definitly aeefect your health so go ahead and take at least a multivitamin.

Once you have dipped into the supplementation game though there is a dark side of slanted studies, exagerations and lies in the marketplace.

I ran across a good page of introductory supplement information from the FDA which is great reading to learn more about how to understand dietary dupplements as well as what the FDA does to regulate them.
