How to get more exercise

I thought I would just add a few fitness tips here on how to add a little bit more exercise in your day. As we all know there are 365 days in a year and if you can burn an extra 100 calories a day then it will add up to and extra 10 pounds of weight loss a year. How much is 100 calories? Not very much, how about 10 minutes of walking up stairs or 20 minutes of walking. Here is a list of things that you can do to add those extra calories to your daily life

Walk up stairs whenever you can instead of the elevator…every time
Park at the back of the parking lot and walk to shopping or work
Take a walk after dinner at night to help you digest your food and have some quiet time
Get a bit of exercise in the morning before showering or going to work
When meeting with friends for coffee park a couple of blocks away
If people want to go to a movie, sometimes go out to a drop in cardio class with friends instead

    Ive been trying to lose weight for years, im 5’5 and weigh about 185 and i have no clue what to do, ive been trying to work out an hour a day, i try to eat healthier but i dont know exactly what to eat and when i eat less i always get these binges at nightime. Please help!

    I know that by walking u can reduce the weight but I have Problem in leg, so I am unable to walk continously, please let me know other way.

    I am 24 and I weigh about 177. I have lost 15 lbs but still have 35 to go. I want to join the military but I feel like I am hitting a wall with working out. I am trying to watch what I eat but I have a terrible sweet tooth and I am a stress eater! I need help!

    i need to loss waight. i play volleyball and try to stay active. but i am a celiac and all gluten free foods are more fattening. i am also a power tumbler. by legs and butt is like 70% muscle.my ideal waight is 130 i would love to be 120 i am 162 and feel that i am over waight. but i am active and try to stay away from fast food and if i do get it i get like a sub or a chicken wrap with nothing on it. cause i cant have gluten.i am only 5’3 and i am wide and i always will be i just want to thin my stomach down lose my love handles and my back fat. i hate it. i dont feel i look good anymore. i have a back and hip problems because of the sports i play. so i want to find a way to lose 30 to 40 pounds before my sisters wedding in june or 2012 and before i graduate. how do i do this. helpp! pleaseeee? thank youu!!!!

    Exercising as often as you can and following a slimming group such as Slimming World has been the best thing for me. Making a giant pan of veg soup made with veg or chicken stock a tin of tomatoes and any other veg you like is great. Can add bits of chicken or other meats, trimming off the fat first, this is brill to freeze in portion sizes and taking out the day before you want to eat. Using a non calorie spray instead of oil such as frylight is a good way of cutting out unwanted caleries and keeping an eye on the amount of bread and milk you use. Top tip though is either get yourself to a slimming world group or beg, borrow or steal someone’s book who is already a member. I was amazed at how much i lost each week and the amount of different foods i could have, was just a matter of understanding what types of food you can have with others and i could still have my boozy weekend. YA U SERIOUSLY NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT U CAN DAILY GET UP EARLY N DO YOGA N PHYSICAL EXCERCISE UNLESS N UNTIL U TOTALLY GET EXHAUSTED …N LET THE SWEAT COMING OUT …N I HOPE THIS CONTINOUS EXCERCISE FOR 2 HRS WOULD HELP U TO LOSE UR WAIT QUICKLY SO ..START FROM TOMORROW N SEE THE RESULTS !!     I have one.

    Take small stairs like at your house or round others two steps at a time.

    It slowly tones your legs and makes them stronger! :D

    Then build yourself up to three steps, quicker to get up them. Tones and strengthens and fun to do while racing yours siblings or kids upstairs! :D

    hey i have been trying to lose weight for a long time i am 12 stone and really want to lose 3 stone i exercise every day through the gym swimming and fitness dance dvds, i am on the slimfast diet and am restricted to fruit water a healthy meal everyday and no treats but i do have at least three coffees a day, i dnt work and am a full time mum with my partner who is a full time dad please help me xxx

    How about playing with the kids or walking your dog?

    You can even walk a neighbor’s dog and maybe get a few extra dollars in your pocket as you do so.
