Hi I'm Cheron, I'm 5'3, 274lbs, 19 year old female. And I need to lose 100lbs. I want to lose it because, it's time. I have not been caring for myself like I should, thinking I could always diet tomorrow. I want to stop and do it! I need some help, if anyone can give it. This article has help me understand some things, but I'm still in red. I need to know how much calories am I supossed to have.
And questions that need to answered. Like, do you really have workout for an hour everyday for six days? Should I start off slow? Please help. I know I'm one of many people who want to get healthy. I just need some help to get to my goal.

Please email me at, Oderint.Dummetuant@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Hello. I'm Tammy, a 43 year old and weigh in at 260 pounds. I want to lose 100 pounds in one year. I've been reading a book by a popular TV show host, and I am positive I can lose this weight. I had neck surgery a couple of years ago and since put on about 80 pounds. I have since lost and gained about 50 pounds. I also am a smoker. I quit for 8 months and am now smoking again. I'm tired of letting myself down all the time. I need to make some serious changes to my lifestyle and my thinking. I drink too much a couple times a week as well. I like the suggestion in the article about exercising twice a day to keep up the metabolic rate. I'd never heard that before. I bought an elliptical and stuck it in front of the tv. I'm going to start out at 10 minutes 2 times a day, and add 2 minutes per day. As for the diet, I'm going to plan on losing 2 pounds per week on average. I want to weigh 160 by this time next year. I'm very excited, but I know there will be challenges. I don't want extra skin, but I guess that's out of my control. I know I can do this. Wish me luck.

Hi. I'm a mom to 3 little boys who are so active! I would love the ability to move more freely with them when they play on the park. They are only 2 months, 2 years and 3 years and I am only 21 years old. I feel like I have the time to lose it and make it worth my while, but everytime I try, I fail. I need ways to learn better self control, I think. I have about 100 pounds to lose as well. I'm 5 foot 1 inch and 236 pounds. I just wonder after 3 cesareans (two bikini line and one classical), is it even possible to lose it and still feel/look good?
An email partner would be great in achieving the same goals! My friend and I are supposed to be losing weight together and I feel so fat compared to her! She has nearly half the weight to lose as me! AND she never sticks to it. She falls off the boat before I do!
Sometimes, my self control kicks in a little too hard and I become obsessive. I start cheating myself out of food at meal times thinking it will catch me up or speed things up and that's probably what causes me to overeat again and give up on losing weight.
So ANYBODY who would like to be an online partner in getting this common goal achieved and ANY ideas of coming up with ways to better control oneself would be greatly appreciated.

Samantha, no secrets unfortunately, just need to apply the basics. I am pulling for you. Wish me luck tonight on me walk/jog (i.e., good luck that that I make it past all of the fast food places before getting to my workout). What do you plan to do to lose your weight?

I need to lose 100+ pounds. I am 6'1" and 360 lbs. I have been in the 300s now for about 8 years and am 33. I work too many hours and have too many excuses like most of us. I find it hard to commit to a full fledged program. I guess I need some external motivation. I would appreciate hearing from you and getting tips, encouragement and having a forum to share my successes and failures in weight management.

On that note, I am still reading the blog posts and I just wanted to say to all of you GO, FIGHT and WIN!

I need to lose 100-120 lbs. I feel like everyone else, except for i know that inactivity, fried food and just going with the flow has caused the majority of my issue with weight. i want to ride a rollercoaster and not feel like i am going to tip it over. tired of my shirts being outside my pants and tight around the middle. I need help on nutrition, exercise the whole nine. I walk sometimes, i have to really get committed to me. Help....if you know of a bootcamp or whatever to get this going help. please help.

Hi everyone, I too need to lose about 100+ pounds. I use to be in the military and since I got out (about 4 yrs ago) I haven't been ambitious about working out because I done so much working out when I was in. Now I look at old photos and wonder what has happen to me. I just want to look and feel like I use too. Most of all I have all the support from my husband and he ensures the work out part is going okay, now I just need to learn how to incorporate the eating right part. I just started this work out program with my husband (because he is still in the military) about 1 week ago. So far everything is going good but now I just trying to get enough information on eating right. Does any one have any good pointers on eating right because I am very picky eater?

I need to lose 100lbs. I have no idea how I got to this point and have been in denial too. I keep looking at older pictures of myself trying to think of how I got to this point. I then realized that I stopped being active. I used to dance and work out all the time. I would also be the one to give advice to family members on how to lose weight and yet here I am now struggling the same battle. I just can't seem to get motivated. I joined a gym and it's been almost a year since I went. I now get paranoid of what they will think of me when I walk in.....can someone help motivate me to get off my butt........

I need to lose at least 100 lbs. I started with a personal trainer july 1st and I have only lost 15 lbs. I don't eat right since I am a student and greasy foods are all over the campus and time is short. If anyone would like to be my email buddy that would be fantastic... I am getting the work out down but it's the eating that is killing me.

Hey! I am in the same boat. I am very much starting to realize that if I don't do something very soon, I will be beyond the point of no return. I have right around 90-110lbs to lose, and I do admit this seems absolutely daunting. I will be an email weight loss buddy if you like!

Hi,
My name is Lisa I need to loose 100+ pounds. I am one of those individuals that has lived in denial for a long time now. I don't even know where to begin to turn things around since I have been on this path for so long. If anyone is willing to be a buddy and share tips and food plans that work please I would love the help. I just know if I don't change this now I will not be here much longer.

I want to get started. I think I have about 100 pounds to lose. I'm kind of shocked. I had to quit working 8 years ago because of an injury. 100 pounds just kind of crept up on me. I've been doing research to see what I'm up against and it seems formidable. I went to a website that talked about the five things people did who lost 100 pounds. I want to follow that advice: they all got active; they got rid of "bad" foods, they got support; they all tried some kind of weight loss gimmick, then slapped themselves and began to eat less and move more; and they took breaks on the weight loss journey.

I want to follow about a 1200 kc per day plan. I'm educating myself now to figure that out. As for activity, I have bronchitis pretty seriously now, but the moment that's done, I want to start some interval training, starting off slow once a day, then twice a day, then increasing my times. I'd like to do that 3 to 4 times a week.

Finally, I'm looking at taking CLA for belly fat, Hoodia for appetite control and GLA (Borage Oil) I forget what for, but it seemed important when I looked it up.

Anybody out there have a comment on my plan? I can use all the help there is. Thanks KAV

I would not eat peanut butter and an apple! No offense, but to me it's a waste of calories after 6pm.. it's 100 calories PER tablespoon for peanut butter and a small apple is also 100 calories.. .. After 6 I stick with things like - 2 tablespoons ranch veggie dip (70 calories) with unlimited celery sticks.. OR - a cup of baby dill pickles - just 35 little calories - but the crunchiness is satisfying and the sour cleanses your pallet and melts away cravings.. Sugar free jello cups - just 10 calories per cup! 1/2 cup cottage cheese with one full cup of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries - with 1 tsp splenda added. Tastes a bit like fruity cheesecake - just 150 TOTAL tasty calories.. I'm always looking for ways to get more to eat - with the fewest calories.

I have TONS of recipes and low cal ideas.. Like - did you EVER think you could eat nachos on a diet???
I use BAKED lays tortilla chips.. 30 chips (which is a WHOLE TRAY FULL) with 1/2 cup pepper jack shredded cheese and 1/4 cup fiesta blend or colby jack blended cheese - sprinkle cheese over nachos and bake till cheese it melted.. I buy SMALL nacho trays at Sam's Club, which makes it a little more fun for kids too - you fill the nacho cheese cup up with LIGHT daisy sour cream - it holds 4 tablespoons - place your cooked nachos in the tray (which will be PILED HIGH since its a small tray - makes you think you are getting even more, but trust me 30 chips is ALOT - I usually split it with my daughter!) and the whole thing is just 500-600 calories (depending on if you go over with the cheese or sourcream, but if u measure right ur good to go!..) Compare that to ONE serving of Nachos at Chilis - over 1,000 calories!!!

Wanna feel like you are eating more for breakfast? Buy Lenders mini bagels (not the 100 calories ones!) they are just 70 calories each.. For breakfast I often make 3, break each apart and then toast - making 6 total pieces - it covers a plate! then top each with a tsp of WHIPPED LIGHT cream cheese..
Total calories - 410 tasty calories and 6 pcs makes u super filled.. OR - have a Jimmy Dean's DELIGHT breakfast bowl with eggs, hashbrowns, and turkey sausage (or bacon) only 240 tasty calories.. I eat this with one of the aforementioned bagels for a total of 350 calories..

If anyone needs low cal ideas. I love to help! I've posted my email before and again - it's FREE to track calories and exercise on www.fitday.com. I love it!
