um miley is not fat. but that doesnt make up for the fact that she is so annoying you want to kill yourself when she talks. shes like what 15 16 and with the way she dresses shell be nocked up in no time. shes a terrible role model for children. taylor swift is better in my opinion. atleast she doenst run around from boy to boy taking half naked pictures of herself and posting them on the internet. she has a seriouse issue, like seriously nobody cares stop taking slutty pictures of yourself. what is that? have some self respect. if not for youself how about the 8 year olds that idolize you.

Miley Cyrus is sooooo not fat! If age is than I must be obese to whoever said she is and in only 15!!!! She is skinny and I wish I had her tiny figure! you people are sick. SICK. she’s a perfectly normal sized, slim girl. I don’t know how anyone could call her fat and mean it. but I bet most of those people are bitter, jealous and ignorant and are just trying to get to her and hurt her feelings. I mean I’m not a miley fan but it’s just so sick with all this shit today.fame has destroyed a lot of people and I hope that some day people will just leave her alone.

And of course, it’s her little girl fans answering your letter, up to now, and not an experienced parent.
A parent has to do more than ‘tell’ a child what is important (though GOOD for you!)
Mom must model behavior that makes it clear she likes herself. I had a mother who obsessed over weight until my father informed her that the “boney-ness” resulting from her insane dieting was beginning to hurt him during lovemaking. Then, because she valued her husband more than herself, that nonsense stopped immediately.

Instead she could turn her attention to criticizing me, every time I ate the sweet things her mother had taught me to love. Sadly, it wasn’t until I was a grandmother returning to college AFTER raising three girls, that I learned the truth. My now 88-year-old mom spent years suffering from ‘body dismorphic disorder-’ a psychological mallidy in which a person perceives their “fatness,” “skinny-ness,” “ugliness,” or some other fancied problem all out of proportion to the truth.

In the meantime, my middle daughter, who moved away from home very young, and happily fell into the company of intellectuals and social rebels who began to discipline me by coming down hard on me,
if I made any personal comments about her appearance, or that of her sisters. (Yes sometimes the kids do raise the parent.)

As to little girls worshiping the pretty, but annoyingly self-centered Miley,
It will be nice if they imitate her better qualities, but realize that she’s just a girl like them.

As to all girls’ self-esteem, Maybe psych 101 would be better taught in Elementary school, so that
body dispmorphic disorder, and the very dangerous “immortality myth” can be discussed.
