I am right now in the midst of a move and I am really finding it difficult to keep any kind of schedule for eating and exercise. Over the last week as we took possession of our new home we have been cleaning and packing and moving boxes but at the same time the kids are really out of sorts with one foot in the new house and one in the old place. This should end soon after this weekend as all of the stuff is moved to our new home. These kinds of life changes really wreak havoc on my schedule and just like most people I know what I should be doing but still kinda procrastinate instead of doing what I should be doing. At the end of last week I stopped working out for no other reason than the moving was just exhausting on it’s own and I am just not getting the sleep needed to let my body recover. I know that, in fact we all know that if you do not get enough sleep and rest then your body just will not recover quickly. This as well should change in the next week as I get a little grumpy when I get slothlike and do not get enough exercise. Nutrition and eating are by far my biggest problems these day. I have packed up half the kitchen and my wife was not wathcing as I packed up and moved some of thopse critical things for eating. BBQ is still around as is lots of fruit and we are not watching much TV so there is not a lot of snacking going on. One of the staples of my lifestyle is leftovers for lunch as well as bagels or oatmeal for dinner so most of my eating has still been good but our dinners are migrating towards some kind of easy fast food more often then not. So what do we eat for dinner? Well my wife is really conscious about what we eat and tries to cut down on fats. We have been out to the places that offer the most vegetables so Subway (no this is not a Biggest Loser flashback) gives us lots of choices as do some of the pita places. I am still a sucker for a burger at wendys but my wife will get salad with low fat dressing. I have not been very active with this blog over the last few days, and I would like to apologize for that because I always like to write and help and at the same time I seem to just not be finding time. Hopefully a new house and a new schedule will help and I know that I have lots of ideas for future posts. If you don’t hear from me over the next few days then just wait for next week for lots more stuff. Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have reviewed the top diet on the internet and you can go and read over 200 comments people have made about why this diet has worked well for them, as well as some of the problems. Good luck with the move, hope it all goes well.
Good luck moving! I hope things get less stressful for you soon.
Yeah, sometimes it’s hard to maintain a good exercise routine and diet while dealing with everything else that happens to come up.
I have the problem (and it’s probably pretty common) of spending too much time on the computer and putting exercise on hold. Working out is very important to me though, so it usually doesn’t last more than a day or two.
Like you, I also plan on moving soon. So I guess this is what I have to look forward to!
Have you considered cutting back on the amount and intensity of your exercise? That’s what I do when I start getting really busy. I figure a little light exercise is better than none at all.
Nice blog by the way. Very informative!
Hope you’re all settled in by the time you read this. At least you’ve managed to unpack the computer
Hey just a note on the “fats” comment. Natural animal fat is good for you. I just found out that the fat of the animal helps to break down the meat during the digestive process. So you don’t have to worry too much about your meat being “lean”.

Thanks. Actually the one thing that we did worry about was the idea of eating all the empty calories of fried fast foods and burgers. I like burgers as much as the next guy, maybe more, and the trouble is when there is no kitchen to cook in I will opt for burgers. Fortunately my wife hates burgers so we were able to find a lot of options plus carrying a lot of fruit and veggies around in a bag. I have done this before when traveling and the fruit and veggies will also keep you from getting dehydrated when you are not eating a lot of water rich foods at the dinner table.
always best to eat properly or your energy levels can fall.
I get pretty grouchy when I don’t get to work out on my regular schedule too… good thing you were doing lots of heavy lifting with the move. Be careful with limiting fats tho… ya still gotta eat fat, your body needs fat, its just the RIGHT KIND OF FAT that you need to be ingesting (like avocados and fish, stuff like that)… otherwise your body freaks, thinks its not getting enough fat and starts hanging on like mad to every morsel of fat it gets…
anyway, good luck with the new house and schedule!!

Sounds like life is really getting hectic for you and your family, take some time out and then get right back at it.
hope all is well and you manage to get the schedule back on track
It is very difficult to even focus on something while your home is not fully organized, and you do not have the comfort they need to cook so healthy without having to turn to fast foods. A good option is to go so fast and make mix and chopped lettuce and tuna for example.
Good idea, as cooking can be speedy but washing up takes a bit longer
I know how you feel about struggling to get into a routine regarding eating and exercise…for the past month Ive been “on again-off again” in the gym and with my regime…googd luck with yours!
Some people changes there fitness when there life changes but some comes up in negative result and some other comes up in positive result. People who are eating lots of junk food may suddenly change there life by giving up all those junk food and they may maintain a fit body. The best think is we should maintain our body better by maintaining a healthy diet if our life changes in order to remain fitness. We should not cut back on the amount and intensity of our exercise even though we are busy in our work.
