Metamucil for weight loss?

Metamucil may be a good product for those that are having some kind of problem with constipation but more and more you see it marketed as a supplement instead of a short term solution to a problem.

The Resonance Partnership blog today had an article on the dark side of marketing where it seems like the makers of Metamucil are trying to get people to take the product as just what seems to be a bad thing and that is as a supplement to “clean” your insides. I would not usually be too concerned about this kind of an article but after looking at the post you can see how this may lead people to look at the new marketing plan as a shortcut to an eating disorder.

I have not covered eating disorders much in the past but this article woke me up to the fact that I should be looking at this more in the future.
