I have been seeing a lot of info today on something called the morning banana diet. The idea of the morning banana diet is that first thing in the morning you eat a banana and a glass of water and somehow miraculously you will lose weight. does this even make sense? Well first of all bananas are a fairly low water fruit and therefore have a lot more carbs then most other fruits for the same amount. Actually triathaletes and other distance type athletes have been eating bananas for many many years to get energyt in the middle of a race. Just because of this I have to doubt that eating a banana in the morning is going to spur weight loss. Sorry to burst anyones bubble but the morning banana diet is probably more of a scam than anything as the real way to lose weight is to restrict your diet and get more exercise. I think it is rather tacky that you are asking people for money for your blog. This is not a pay site! The information you put up here is no more than what we can read on today’s main Yahoo page…and they don’t ask for any money.
How about you base your input on actual fact and not how you feel.
Also, asking for a free handout ofr you opinion is tacky. Do us all a favor and collect money from you ads and blog about fact not opinion.

I am sorry but it does cost money for my time as well as hosting for the site. I am not asking for money but just a donation would be nice. I am not telling people to give me money but just offering a way for people to donate if they find the content here valuable. No big deal.
And Yahoo makes over a billion dollars a year from their site.

The banana diet…..seriously. I think that is the most ridiculous thing I have heard of.
Lee asked for actual fact, so here’s fact: Bananas help people lose weight because they contain resistant starch, which ferments in your large intestine, creating by-products that block conversion of some carbohydrates into fuel, so replacing ordinary carbs with the resistant starch in bananas can boost fat burning. And banana fiber bulks up in your stomach, so you feel full for longer.

Banana is good to boost your potassium and for women when they are cranky it helps to level the hormones, but water and banana first thing in the morning sounds weird! first thing in the morning is a nice hot cup of tea or coffee!
