1. When you go to a holiday event or party, to make sure you don't go hungry. Being hungry makes you more probable of eating unhealthy food and that much more of it.

2. For the big family meal have the healthy stuff first. Get it out of the way right off the bat. This will ensure you are still providing proper fuel for your body, but also still lets you have the bad stuff. Being that you are partially full you basically force yourself to limit the portions of the unhealthy stuff.
