Just ran across a study that is being reported by MSNBC about how portion sizes over the last 20 years have gotten bigger although many people have not noticed. I hear people all of the time say that they are not sure why they can not lose weight yet they do not eat huge meals or anything. In fact people may be eating far to large of meals and don’t know it.

Tonight when you get your dinner on your plate take a look at the food before you dig in and then look at the size that your stomach is. Is that really a good sized portion? Are you just by habit getting more on the plate than you should?

One of the things that is interesting in the study above is that the average plate size went from 10 inches to 12 inches, again you should be able to see the difference with the food on your plate.

Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have reviewed the top diet on the internet and you can go and read over 200 comments people have made about why this diet has worked well for them, as well as some of the problems.

Have to agree with this one. Some restaurants serve amazing amounts of food. It’s like we aren’t happy unless we have a huge amount of food on our plates. This is particular so in western countries. Haven’t really seen the same problem in other countries. When I go out with friends now we often will share a serving. The restaurant may not like it but then what is the point of wasting food?
