Quiet challenges to fitness

I have been quiet on this blog lately. I want to apologize and also tell my little story. I think that in some ways I am the same as many people when health and fitness are going well or badly. I have had a bad run over the last few s\weeks of both fitness and exercise and I am sure that the two are twinned in some ways. Just before Christmas I broke a wheel on my bike and have not been out to get one yet. The weather here in Calgary is cold this time of year and I spent a couple of weeks working out on our elliptical trainer and then got a cold and stopped and at the same time with Christmas goodies everywhere I just kind of let go. These two thing really are twinned together aren’t they. Now over the last few weeks I have put up a brave face, I have posted some health related news articles I have even tried to write a bit of fitness motivation but my heart really is not in it all day long like I like it to be. I am not writing this stuff to have people feel sorry for me because heck, many people are in a far worse spot then me. I have gained a few pounds, maybe 10 pounds, but not much and the real way that you can see that I am not in good form is that I am dragging myself a bit, my concentration sucks and I have been a bit moody. Today is the last day of a weeks holidays and I went out to try to find that elusive tire for my bike, shopping all over town I have had no luck and the crankiness set in. I feel like if there are things that are in my control then I can get cranky because it is my fault that some things go wrong but in this case I felt like I was finally really trying to step up and the bike shops weren’t any help. I guess soon, in the next couple of weeks I will get back on my trusty mountain bike but in the meantime I have set myself to look at tomorrow as the fist good day of the year. I will do all of the exercise, eating, drinking and attitude adjustments that I need and I am sure that by the time Friday hits I will be feeling great again and be snapped back into great form. Am I the only one doing this in late February? I am hoping not, let me know how things are going for you. Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have reviewed the top diet on the internet and you can go and read over 200 comments people have made about why this diet has worked well for them, as well as some of the problems. Keep up the great work! You can do it! This site is an inspiration. I have been following this amazing site and http://www.marksdailyapple.com (also amazing!) for a few months now and am using all the info I have gathered to begin my own weight loss journey. Thank you!
