Just saw an article that Detox Diets Don’t Work over at the Diet Blog.
I have never been to sure about these but have tried several short forms of it anyway. The reason I always thought it would work is becasue it would rid your body of waste that it was not getting rid of anyway. Some say that the body works better than we think though and gets rid of everything it does not use.
The thing that has always worried me about these Detox kits though is the fact that they are so damn expensive and I would have a lot of trouble forgoing eating for a week or so.
Maybe over time science will get more serious about helping us help ourselves but until then i will stick to lots of water and high fiber cereals to keep my body in efficient condition

Bill, I’ve always been a fan of detox diets. I feel that it is good to clean the system out once in a while. I actually think your information might be slightly incorrect — while the body is HIGHLY skilled at removing wastes, it DOES get overburdened with things like those burgers you mention in another post, along with so much of the other junk we stuff into our bodies and expect it to digest properly. In the end, the body is a machine that can get overworked. -Zoe

COMMENT:
You might like to try eliminating white sugar from your diet. Use palm sugar or honey. I did this and added one glass of vegetable juice in the day ( 2-3 carrots, 2 tomatoes, a couple of mint leaves OR a slice of ginger and a pinch of salt). I feel so energise. My hair and skin look better too.
