fat loss for idiots

I never did post about our new Wii and the relationship that we are beginning to have with the box of plastic and silicon chips.

It has been a great time and all the family seems to be enjoying the Wii. On Christmas day we unpacked the box and hooked it up and just played a bit and then were out doing family stuff all day and into the night. On Boxing day (December 26th) we finally got to play the Wii lots and had a  great time taking turns with the sports games of the Wii Sports disk.

In Wii Sports there are Tennis, Golf, Bowling, Baseball and Boxing as well as a Wii Training, which is practicing for any of those sports and Wii Fitness which is a test that the Wii puts you through to see how good you are at using the controllers and your coordination. The games on the disk were easy enough to use with the two controllers.

I used to play competitive tennis so I was taking full swings all day while playing against everyone in the house and I probably lost as many matches as I won but by the end of the day my legs, butt, back and arm were sore from all of the activity. No one can site down and play the games they nedd to stand up and move and swing.

Getting up the next day i was feeling maybe a little sore but my wife and daughter were really sore and it took a day or two for them to recover. A week later and everyone is all recovered and everyone is still loving the Wii.  We got the Super Mario Galaxy game a few days ago and although my son loves it and I have played it a bit too Super Mario Galaxy is amazing to play but not at all physical, i can sit on the couch and play so it loses this big burst of activity that Wii Sports is.

The Wii is a success and i think that as a family it may help us with our fun fitness through the winter but I am not sure how other games are going to stay up with the activity so only time will tell. Oh and we are also looking forward to Wii Fit coming out in the Spring
