I have been out of town the last couple of days and today I go home. I am really looking forward to seeing my wife Michelle and the kids. Today the weather in Thunder Bay is wonderful, a bit chilly though. I got up at 7 which is only 5 AM at home and snuck down to the gym for a workout. It always surprises me how people can be so quiet in the hallways and lobby of a hotel but when you go into a hotel gym the one other guy was really friendly. No matter how good or bad shape you are in he and I were both there taking care of ourselves while the rest of the hotel is sleeping I guess. I always wonder why people do not workot more when out of town? I have my schedule all thrown off, I miss my family but getting a workout in and pushing out those endorphins always really improves my attitude. Have a great day! I agree that the majority of people do stop working out when they are out of town. I have to admit I have been one of those people. I think the reason for me was telling myself that I was on vacation and basically allowed myself to take a vacation from many of the responsibilities I had at home, including working out. Currently I am in a pretty strict workout schedule and with a trip to NY coming up next month I will make a commitment to train with my schedule.
I always used to workout when I was out of town, and I got out of the habit. I remember that it made me feel better, especially when I had to sit in meetings. But you really have to plan for it too!
