I watched X-Weighted a couple of times last season but earlier this week was a standard episode that I thought was great to watch especially for the lack of hype that this show uses to bring across the idea of weight loss over a longer period of time. The structure of X-Weighted is that you will have an intro where you see the life situation of someone that wants to lose weight, then Paul Plakas measures and weighs the person, looks in their kitchen and does a fitness assessment. Later in the show you have workouts and a a weight in and finally at the end there is an official X-Weighted final weigh in. Great drama and great info all in an hour Anatomy of an X Weighted EpisodeThe X-Weighted episode that I saw started with Michelle, a lady that was over weight and would like to lose 50 pounds. She had problems with one of her three children being Autistic and becoming a problem and her whole family leaned on her for support in various parts of their lives. Because of Michelle’s work schedule and early mornings she would eat out at fast food places once or twice EVERY day. Now we know this ladies background. First things first for the meeting with her trainer . Michelle laid out her situation and then told her trainer that she wanted to lose 50 pounds in the next six months. Her trainer talked to her about her exercise requirements, eating requirements, tested her current level of fitness and then followed her around for a day. A couple of day later Michelle met with her trainer for a training session and then we get to see how Michelle reacts over the next few months to life, changes and weight loss. In the end Michelle lost I believe 44 pounds and was really happy with how things went for her weight loss. Her life was a series of traumatic events over the time of her weight loss and it really makes you feel for her and her family. X-Weighted is a great show in that it really walks you through how real people lose weight while living their regular lives, this is a classic idea of a reality show where the people are in their own surrounding much like our own and every great result is hard fought. X-Weighted is on in Canada on many nights of the week on the Slice Network (formerly the Life Network). Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have reviewed the top diet on the internet and you can go and read over 200 comments people have made about why this diet has worked well for them, as well as some of the problems. I just wanted to comment on your show. I love it. I am a new viewer never having watched it until recently and I am now addicted. I jut love Paul. He is so personable and I find it hard to believe any of your weight losers don’t like him – he’s doing what he can to help them and while he can be tough I think he’s just great. I also like your guests (even when they gripe) because I find myself routing for them throughout.
Keep making these shows please and I can guarantee I’ll keep watching. I even rewatch episodes I’ve seen before because I find them not only entertaining but interesting, informative, inspiring and a great motivation to keep fit.
Thanks for producing such a great show and congratulations on finding such a great trainer like Paul.
Sincerely yours.
I have grown to absolutely LOVE watching X-Weighted. During every episode, I learn something new to implement into my own life be it eating habits or exercise.
Over the last 2 weeks, the Slice Network has changed the airing of X-Weighted and I am really hoping this is temporary. I loved watching it every weekday evening at 7:00 (Atlantic time) and in 2 weeks I have not been able to see it!

I am Welsh and I watch X-weighted on the Sky Real Lives Channel. I love the show because it is very realistic about losing weight. Some people are not successful and the programe does not hide this. Those who are successful lose realistic amounts of weight in really healthy ways. I have spent the last four years losing weight and I have changed my life in every way imaginable. This programme really inspires me to continue with my work.
I watch you show on a daily basic (when on). How can I be a person on the show. I live in Va and have been fat all my life, just like everyone else. I don’t know what to do. I have a 8 year old son that I want to watch grow up. Please let me know if ya’ll are still doing this or that I’m watching old shows. Thanks Roy
I love your show, it totally motivated me to want to work out and start eating right. I am a 30yr mother and wife, I have 4 kids ages 12,8,5, and 3. I have been overweight it seems like for the past 12 years. I weigh 165 and I really want to get down to about 125-130 by September, that would be 2 pounds a week. I would LOVE to be on your show, do you guys ever travel to different locations. I am in the Portland, Oregon area, it’s gorgeous out here!!!! I need help, also wondering do you guys have a actual website, that has tips on dieting and what not?? Thanks and again LOVE the show, keep going with it please!!!

Hi
I’m a 25 year old female. I have been gaining weight for like the last 10 years. Last time I weighed myself I was 270 lbs. I have no self confidence at all. I have a surgery coming up this October. They might not perform the surgery due to my weight being a risk for my heart. I need help. I get stressed and I eat please if you need a contestant this size I need the help to be healthy!
I am a 32 year old female. I have 4 children and am a type 1 diabetic. I have been fighting with my weight since I was a teenager. I now weigh 195 and I am 5′1. I need to learn to eat right and how to workout. I need someone to teach me a routine. I just need a start, I have four wonderful kids I need to live for and teach how to eat right too. Please help me
I watch your show and love it…………the amazing results, I could only wish. I always weighted 98 to 105 lbs. and after having a sergury , I never lost my weight. I now have what you call a bekini cut due to the sergury where its going to be hard to tone up or never tone because of all of the cut muscles. I am very depressed about the whole thing . I try very hard to eat properly, I am very busy with my family and friends and don’t seem to be able to make time for myself. I have also been in a motor vehicle accident and have pain quite a bet throughout my body ( hips, shoulders , back etc. ) but I WILL NOT GIVE IN TO THIS PAIN .. I TRY VERY HARD TO FIGHT AGAINST IT.
IT’S PROBABLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BE ON YOUR SHOW BUT DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR ME
Hey
I dont know if this is the place I’m looking for or not so here goes.
I am a 45 year old male who had a kidney transplant on Mar 25 2009. Before surgery I was 193lbs and feeling good. Since the surgery I have gained 30 plus pounds and now my blood pressure has gone up and even with medication it wont come down. I am scared that if I dont loose this extra weight that I might loose my new kidney. I have gone my whole life with kidney disease and finally feel awesome. I have never in my life felt so good. Unfortunately I dont have any motivation to really get going and loose this weght. I know the fact that I can loose my kidney should motivate me, unforunately in my house there is no disapline on junk food or any food for for that fact. If we want to eat it we eat it. I could really use some help to get on track. If there is anyway XWeighted can help please help me. send me an email and I will give you any information you need to help me.
Thaning you in advance
David James
How I love your show…but….Is there still hope for me? I’m 62 yrs old, have a burning desire to feel good about myself again, have no help or support and think I’m not worthy of good things…Is there anyone out there who could help me, really help me? My world fell apart 4 yrs. ago and I lost 50 lbs…that was only because I basically quit eating…I have now put it back on and am so very misreable with myself..I have kept all my beautiful “thin” clothes but they seem to torture me rather than help…I want to do all the right things but I’m so alone in this battle…If I just had a Paul to work with….Love to you all, nan

Hi Paul, I’m hooked on your show, I think you are a great trainer. I need your help, I’m 54 years old, 5″3 and I weigh 154 lbs. My doctor told me to lose 25 pounds. There is major heart disease in my family, so I have always been active. I have weigh 154 lbs for the last year. I go to the gym 4times a week, Zumba dance class 3 times a week, water aerobics 5 days a week. I’m allergic to chicken and turkey. I do eat fish, beef, pork and some times fast food. With all my exercising, how many calories should I be taking in a day? I would love to be on the show, I have watched some episode that had women who were fitness trainer, that needed to lose 50 pounds and more. I am a 3 degee black belt in Taekwondo, I have not been able to find a studio in my area to practice, I could really use your help to get back in shape. Thank you,
I would also really like to be on the show…
I love the show. My sister and I have always have problems with being overweight. She actually had her stomach stapled a few years back but the weight has since then crept on. I have been a yo yo dieter all my life but I am at a point in my life at 53 where drastic changes have to be made. I recently had two sons married and want to be here for when grandchildren come along. I have recently lost weight but really need to integrate excercise and nutrition into the factor. Health wise I am not so good, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholestorol and in the past year and a half have had 2 heart attacks and three angioplasty’s. The last trip scared the hell of out of me when I had A Fib and had to be zapped back to regular rythum then finding out I had another blockage. On top of that I have the problem of leg cramps and feet going to sleep. I have been told by specialists that I also have hardening in the arteries of the legs. It really limits me to what I can do, I want to do so much more. Apparently it can’t hurt me, to stop when it hurts and carry on. i am so badly out of shape I really don’t know where to begin without some kind of trainer. My sister would like to come on the journey with me. I am only 5′3″ and weight 170 lbs. It makes me angry when i see much larger people being able to walk a block and do things. This show is my last hope. Paul you could be my life saver and I could be your challenge.
I had the “perfect body ” before I had my son nine months ago. I am 5″6 5″7 and I used to weigh, I 140lbs. Now I am 190lbs, and I can’t get rid of it!! I hate the way that I look. I feel very uncomfortable wearing ANYTHING that shows my waist and exspecially my legs. I could REALLY use your help !!!!
Hi! I’m 5′6 and weigh 166pds. I was under weight all my life up until I had children. My doctor told me I was a high risk pregnancy because of being under weight. Well I ate and ate and ate some more.At 2 months pregrant I weighed 112pds at full term I was 181pds. My son was 6pds 13 oz. That was 12 years ago and I struggled ever since. Tried weight watchers, atkins, south beach diet and was even on a fat flusher. I need help to get on the right track again could you please help. My self esteem is down, and so is my metabolism but not my weight. Is there anything I can do to regulate my weight? Ideally it would be nice to get down to 130pds as I have a small boned frame.Thank you in advance.

I cant’t believe that Fred isn’t on the new season of X-Weighted. He was the best part and made everyone look so good! What happened? The show isn’t the same and not as good!!
I know, I liked him two. When I saw the episode with an older one back to back I realized how much I liked the previous seasons better
