I had not heard of this until today but a few years ago there was a diet created by General Motors called the GM Diet to get or at least keep the employees in shape (to bad it didn’t help the bottom line) and this diet was really popular even outside of General Motors.

The GM Diet is one of those older diets that seems to be based on heresay and fads more than anything and you can see this in the strange ideas about drinking certain alcohols and the idea of eating until you are “stuffed” can not be at all good over the long term. Also funny is an all meat day as opposed to the fat loss 4 idiots all fruit day.

The GM Diet was originally created by GM and only for the employees and families. Somehow GM (biggest company in the world at the time) got a grant from the FDA and the Department of Agriculture to create this. Johns Hopkins was involved and the diet was approved and launched in 1985.

This GM Diet program is designed for a target weight loss of 10-17 lbs per week. It will also improve your attitudes and emotions because of its cleansing systematic effects.

This can also be used over and over again although I am not to sure about the food balance as it seems to be extreme in a few ways. The GM Diet is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. The plan is designed to lose you 10 pounds or so in a week. Has anyone tried and found this?

GM Diet Plan

During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol. You must drink 10 glasses of water each day on the GM Diet

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

Day Two
All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

Day Three A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.

Day Four Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.

Day Five Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

Day Six Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.

Day Seven Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.

Tomorrow morning from the GM Diet you will be 10-17 lbs. lighter than one week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. You may repeat this program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you are allowed two glasses of white wine in addition to the instructions on the program. You may substitute champagne for white wine. Under no circumstances are you to drink any other alcoholic beverages with the exception of beer which is allowed. Any liquor (bourbon, vodka, rum) is forbidden.

Cream drinks are especially forbidden on the GM Diet. You may have an occasional cordial such as creme de menthe or schnapps, but you must always limit yourself to two drinks.

If you wine, drink only wine that day. If you have beer, drink only beer that day, etc. Alcohol adds empty calories to your diet. However, after the first week on the GM Diet it will help your digestion and settle your stomach.

GM Wonder Soup

The following soup is intended as a supplement to your GM Diet. It can be eaten any time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to consume large quantities of this soup.

28 oz, Water, 6 Large Onions, 2 Green Peppers, Whole Tomatoes (fresh or canned), 1 Head Cabbage, 1 Bunch Celery, 4 Envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix, Herbs and Flavoring as desired.

GM Diet Additional Notes

Vegetables as may be taken in the form of a salad if desired. No dressing except malt, white or wine vinegar, squeezed lemon, garlic, herbs. No more than one tea spoon of oil on the GM Diet.

You have above a recipe for the wonder soup which can be eaten in unlimited quantities. This soup is a supplement while you are on the program and it should be a pleasure to eat. Not everyone likes cabbage, green peppers, celery etc. This recipe is not inflexible. You may substitute vegetables according to your taste. You may add any vegetables you like: asparagus, peas, corn, turnips, green beans, cauliflower, etc. Try to stay away from beans (lima, pinto, kidney, etc.), however, because they tend to be high in calories even though they are very good for you.

Beverages you may consume while on the GM Diet program :

1. Water (flavored with lemon/lime if desired).
2. Club Soda is OK.
3. Black Coffee. No cream or cream substitute. No sugar or sweetness.
4. Black Tea = Herb or Leaf.
5. Absolutely nothing else except the fruit juices which are part of day seven. No fruit juices before day seven.

How and Why the GM Diet Works

Day One – You are preparing your system for the upcoming program. Your only source of nutrition is fresh or canned fruits. Fruits are nature’s perfect food. They provide everything you could possibly want to sustain life except total balance and variety.

Day Two – Starts with a fix of complex carbohydrates coupled with an oil dose. This is taken in the morning for energy and balance. The rest of day two consists of vegetables which are virtually calorie free and provide essential nutrients and fibre.

Day Three – Eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from the fruits. You system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will still have cravings which should start to diminish by day four.

Day Four – Bananas, milk and soup sound the strangest and least desirable. You’re in for a surprise. You probably will not eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there for the potassium you have lost and the sodium you may have missed the past three days. You will notice a definite weight loss of desire for sweets. You will be surprised how easy this day will go.

Day Five – Beef and tomatoes. The beef is for iron and proteins, the tomatoes are for digestion and fibre. Lots and lots of water purifies your system. You should notice colorless urine today. Your allowance calls for the equivalent of five “quarter ponders”. Do not feel you have to eat all this beef. You must eat the six tomatoes.

Day Six – Similar to day five, Iron and proteins from beef, Vitamins and fibre from vegetables. By now your system is in a total weight loss inclination. There should be a noticeable difference in the way you look today, compared to day one.

Day Seven – Finished off the program like a good cigar used to finish off Victorian meals, except much healthier. You have your system under control and it should thank you for the flushing and cleaning you just gave it.

I am not sure of the value of the GM Diet but go ahead and try this and see if you are pleasantly surprised. Make sure that if you try this that you also let us all know of the results good or bad in the comments below. Maybe GM Diet will me the legacy that General Motors will be remembered for instead?

  1. Hello all! I have done this diet before I got married and got such amazing results! Now my daughter is almost one and I am still carrying all the baby fat! Time to get fit before her birthday 🙂 Started at 108 kg today, I want to lose atleast 15 kgs if not more! Finished my first fruit bowl of the day…hope the day goes well and I can see results from tomo! Good luck to everyone!

  2. Can you drink the Costco brand bottled Diet Green Tea on this diet? I’ve drank a lot of water, but wondered if that’s why I’ve only lost 3lbs. I’m on day 5 today. thanks!

  3. Yesterday was my last day, this morning I weighed myself and I lost a total of 6.5 pounds!!!! 🙂
My starting was 141 and I am now down to 134.5
I have been excercising for the past month and contiued to do so while doing the GM cleanse.
It really isn’t hard to stick to, some days are better than others but it def teaches what eating fresh foods can do for you and I feel like I’m better prepared to resist my cravings for things that are not good for me.
I have noticed the most difference in my stomach area!
My plan from here on out is to continue with my workout routine, after a month it has become just another part of my day and I feel so much more energetic and self confident! Also, I’m going to start making fresh meals and ditch the processed stuff.
Good luck to everyone who trys this cleanse! Remember excerise and making healthy decisions is key to keeping all the off!

      1. When it says 3 glasses of milk are the glasses 8oz servings or does it matter how big the glass is?

      2. Thank You! I’m down 7.8 pounds already! and that’s without getting all of the water in!

  4. Is it possible to substitute the banana’s for a different fruit and get the same results? I am NOT a banana person.

  5. Im starting this diet tom…ad everything seems ok except for one thing I am a caffeine freak…need to have it i have 2 young kids and a full time job …i saw that we can do coffee and tea …any other suggestions because i dont think i can stomach it black.

    1. I was in the same boat….I’ve been drinking a whole pot of coffee every morning & I take it flavored & w/ sweeteners & cream. This is the 3rd time my husband and I have done this diet. The first time, I gave up coffee completely & lost quite a bit. The 2nd time, I scaled back on my coffee w/ cream & sugar & only lost a couple of pounds. We are now on day 3 of this one & I’m down about 5 lbs….I actually gave up coffee the day before we officially started & my headaches only lasted two days. It is worth it to go without the coffee for a week if you want the best results. We have been successful at maintaining each time we’ve done this diet…well, until the holidays come anyway! (& I DO go back to drinking coffee, although I’m going to limit myself to two cups each morning now!) Good luck!

      1. Traci I appreciate your response. I’m considering trying this diet. I’ve found the questions about eliminating or subsituting items in the diet interesting. I would think that if you don’t follow the plan EXACTLY as suggested then you are not really in a position to claim that it did not work. The fact that you have completed the diet twice – once following it religiously even if it meant giving up coffee completely because you can’t stand it black then and then adding cream/sugar albeit in limited quantities – you have been able to demonstrate how important it is to just stick to the diet as prescribed. If not, then you are not on the GM diet but on your own modified version which may or may not work. So if the diet indicated beef and tomato then do not substitute beef with turkey or tomatoes with something else or even eliminate the tomatoes. Find another diet that has ingredients that you can work with.

  6. okay so the bananas and milk day…doesn’t specify what kind of milk…i love milk, should i get whole or 2%? Thanks

    1. My mom has some co-workers that have done this diet before and they say that they have had best results with Skim milk, but any milk you prefer is fine.
Gook luck on your diet 🙂

      1. would soy / almond / rice milk be okay for this?
i am now on Day 6 (lost approx. 5-6 pounds)… hoping to lose more though.. might try this again after a few days. is there a diet for maintenance? or what you can eat/take during the 2-3 day break?

  7. I started the diet today. Day 1. I was so excited about this diet. But today Its just couple of hours started. I am light headed. Can I have some chai on this diet

    1. Allowable drinks:
Water (flavoured with lemon/lime if desired)
      Club soda
Black coffee – NO milk, sugar or sweeteners
      Black or Herb tea
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE except the fruit juic on day 7

  8. I’m on day 4: so far lost 3 lbs.. Question on day 4 , should we eat all 8 bananas or is it just a max limit? i dont think i can eat more than 4 coz its so filling. pls suggest? Also on day 5 and 6 i’m replacing chicken for beef. can you grill chicken with some spices or not??

    1. Day 4 — you can eat UP TO 8 bananas, but you don’t have to eat ’em all.

Day 5 & 6 — you can use spices, but you’re suppose to use beef, not chicken. Using chicken may affect your results — or maybe it won’t. Just keep that in mind when you’re on the scale. 😉

Good luck & congrats on the 2 lbs lost!

      1. how do you do the beef then? what do you buy at the store and how do you prepare it? i saw someone else did say to sub chicken, but i want to do it right, even though this is hard and i did have some sweet potato tortilla chips on day 1 and 2, and some watermelon on day 2. i’m ending day 2 now and already annoyed that i’ve cheated, but i guess i will just keep going and try my best to stick to it. help? thanks!

      1. thanks jennie.. i’m on day 6 now. Just weighed this morning and looks like i lost almost 8 lbs. I tried with chicken (breast peice) mentioned in other websites of this gm diet for non beef eaters. will let u know what i find after day 7…

      2. Congratulations on the poundage lost thus far — that’s TOO awesome!! Might have to try chicken myself. 🙂

How’d your final weigh-in go, Hema?

  9. I’ve just started day three. I’ve lost 6 lbs so far. Down to 177 from 183. Day 1 was hard. I got a headache from the sweetness of all the fruit. I hate melon, but I made a gazpacho by blending 1/2 a cantaloupe, 1 peach, 1/4 cup of zinfandel, and 2 tbsp of lemon juice. It was delicious, but again too sweet for me. The baked potato for breakfast on day 2 was surprisingly satisfying and I was able to go out to dinner on this day for a salad. Now to the store to buy my rations for days 3 and 4. So excited about banana day.

Question, though: On tomato day, can you eat cherry or grape tomatoes instead? Say 6 tomatoes = 2 lbs, could you do 2 lbs of cherry? Also, could you roast them? I hate the sliminess of regular raw tomatoes.

    1. Congrats on the 6-lb loss thus far — that’s awesome!

You know — I don’t see why you couldn’t replace the 6 tomatoes with the same in cherry/grape tomatoes. And you could definitely roast them! I had to whip mine into a tomato soup in order to consume them. Needless to say, Day 5 was a long day for me, heh.

      Good luck!

  10. I’m on day 2. And I had to make a big dinner tonight for guest and fell off the wagon. Should I start over…or just start fresh with Day 3 tomorrow? So frustrated with myself! I was doing pretty good;-(

    1. Personally, I would start over. I went through my first day eating nothing but watermelon and cantaloupe — but the minute my husband got home from work, I caved. I enjoyed a big, hearty meal and started the next day fresh with watermelon and cantaloupe again. Now, I’m on Day 7.

Don’t feel frustrated. You did it — it’s over — start fresh and commit to the next 7 days. You’re gonna do great! 🙂

      Good luck.

      1. I’m on Day 7 and down 7.9 pounds, which I’m perfectly happy with. Will do my final weigh-in tomorrow morning. 🙂

      2. You’re a sweetheart Jennie! That is awesome you lost that much. Thank you for taking the time to answer. I’m starting again tomorrow. And I’m going to try some of your adaptations. It looks like we both did HCG too.Did you do the soup through the week? I just did it on Day 2 before I went downhill. I think I’m going to stick with just vegetables and your zucchini and sauce that you did.

      3. Awww — thanks, Angela!

I swore up and down about hCG, until they stopped selling my brand at my local health market. The kind they have now made me feel sick and I had migraines that were just unbelievable. I finally decided it was time to try something new and this diet was SO much easier and you eat ’til you’re full, which is awesome!

No — I never tried the soup and felt just fine without it. Yesterday was my last day and I did my final weigh-in this morning, losing 9.3 lbs during the 7-day diet. I’M THRILLED! Plans are to take today off (my baby girl is turning 3) and then start the diet again on Saturday.

On the Zucchini “Noodles”, I would recommend using a Julienne Peeler, if you have one. I actually purchased one specifically for this recipe at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $7.99 (after a 20% off coupon – original price $9.99). I feel like it’s already paid off in just the 2 days that I used it. Makes the “pasta” seem more like spaghetti. Or, you can just use a regular peeler and make thick ribbons.

You’re gonna do fantastic! Just stick with it. 🙂

      4. Hey Jennie23,
I left a message on here a couple of days ago. But it looks like it got deleted or something. Congrats on 9.3lbs!!! WOW!! That is so exciting!I’m sorry you had such a bad experience with HCG. I have an online place I bought it from and was really happy with it. And it wasn’t too costly. I liked HCG because you could loose a chunk of in a short time. But so far I’m happy with this GM diet. I’m on day 4 and lost 3lbs. I was hoping for 4lbs. Just because I’ve been working out. I’ve stuck with it diligently this time. But I have been drinking Costco’s bottled Diet Green Tea. Not sure if that’s o.k. or not. Thanks for the tip on the zucchini noodle. I did that on Day 2! It turned out so good. Please keep me posted on your second round. And I hope your little one had a wonderful birthday! Thanks again for all your tips! Have a great day!

      5. Hey Angela — Congrats on the 3-lb loss. That’s great! 🙂

I’m sad that I had such a bad experience with that particular hCG, as well. Personally, I think it’s because my mind was fighting what I needed to do to succeed. I’m one of those people who can do something flawlessly the first time — but sually can’t pull it off a second time (especially when it’s so extreme). When I first started hCG, I lost 33 pounds in 40 days and felt wonderful. How I let myself gain back all the is beyond me — but it is what it is. I started hCG again and lost 18.8 pounds in 23 days, but my brand was no longer being sold. That’s when my bad experience began. BUT — I still think highly of the hCG Diet and would support anybody who was taking that route for loss.

Whelp — didn’t start Round 2 on Saturday, as planned. I started Monday and am already down 5.1 pounds in 2 days. Not sure how it’s going to pan out this weekend, though. We’ll be going out of town. Time shall tell…

I would lay off the Green Tea and see if your body responds differently. And you might take a day off on your workouts and see if that changes things, too. I know I’ll get a 2-mile run in, sweatin’ my butt off, and lose next to nothing — but I’ll do absolutely nothing the next day and lose 2 pounds. It’s weird. Just gotta kinda play around with it and see what works for you.

Glad you liked the zucchini recipe. I was just thinking that I might experiment with some Cauliflower “Fried Rice” — but I’m not absolutely positive that I’ll get around to trying it. What’s really getting me is I’d wanna put some Soy Sauce on it and I’m not sure how that will affect me. Guess I won’t know unless I try, right? 😉

My baby girl had a wonderful birthday — thanks! I can’t believe she’s 3 already. Seems like I just had her yesterday.

        Keep up the fantastic work!!

      6. You are amazing!! I’m on day 7 and only lost 4lbs. I ws hoping for at least 8lbs. I’m 5 foot and was 116 when I started. I was 112 today. I need to be happy about it, but I’m kind of bummed. I really was so diligent this time. Oh well. Maybe it was the diet green tea. I’m going to see if I can work myself up to doing this again. As for HCG, I totally get it! It is a hard diet. I don’t ever want to do it again. Yet, I can’t deny how much it jump started my journey of loss.
Speaking of rice. Here is a recipe: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/04/how-to-make-perfect-brown-rice-every.html. It’s really just how to cook it so it’s moist and fluffy. It tasted so good today! Probably because it’s the last day. Good luck with this weekend. You will do great! I can’t wait to hear how you did on the 2nd round. I have to get on everyday to see if you have posted. It keeps me motivated;-) Thank you!

        Perfect Brown Rice Every Time
        Skinnytaste.com
        Servings: 5 • Serving Size: 3/4 cup • Old Points: 3 pt • Points+: 4 pt
        Calories: 150 • Fat: 0 g • Protein: 3 g • Carb: 32 g • Fiber: 1 g • Sugar: 0 g
        Ingredients:
1 cup natural brown rice (I used long grain)
        8 cups cold water
        1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
        Directions:
Rinse the rice with cold water for 30 seconds. Bring the water and salt to a boil over high heat in a large heavy pot with a tight fitting lid.
When the water is boiling add the rice, stir and partially cover (don’t cover complete or it will spill over) and cook on medium-high heat for 30 minutes.
Drain the rice in strainer, then quickly return to the pot and cover tightly for 20 minutes so the steam finishes cooking the rice. Uncover the rice and fluff with a fork.
Makes about 3 1/2 cups. Different rice varieties may yield different amounts.

  11. My mom and I are starting the diet in two weeks, and I have a few questions for anyone who knows the answers.

Firstly, on Day Five, is it alright to eat tomato soup instead? If there is one food I can’t stand, it’s tomatoes. I’d love to be able to find a way around it.

Secondly, on Day Four, do we have to have AT MOST 8 bananas and 3 glasses of milk, or could we have more than that?

Thirdly, I have always drank my water with a flavored mix-in, usually Crystal-Light. These are calorie-free. Are these packets allowed?

Thanks to anyone and everyone who responds! 🙂

    1. I finished Day 5 yesterday and made my own tomato soup. Original plan was to just eat the tomatoes raw, with a little salt and pepper, along with my hamburger meat — but I couldn’t get past the first one. I skinned 5 tomatoes and roughly chopped them. I added 2 tsp of minced garlic, a small roughly chopped onion and various herbs and spices. I let it cook for about an hour and a half. Allowed it to cool for 30 minutes and then tossed it all in a blender, adding some more salt and LOTS of black pepper. After it was well blended, I strained it. It wasn’t the best thing in the world, but I managed to consume all 6 tomatoes this way and was still down another pound when I weighed in this morning.

Day 4 — you can only consume UP TO 8 bananas and can only have 3 glasses of milk — no more than that! In addition to it, you can eat some “Wonder Soup”.

I would give you a big “No” to the Crystal Light. It’s really not so much about the calories, but about the added ingredients. I’d opt for adding lemon to your water or just drinking good ol’ plain h2o! 😉

Good luck to your and your mom! Y’all are gonna do great.

  12. I just started the GM cleanse today with a coworker. So far today we’ve had watermelon, grapes, honey dew, pineapple and cantaloupe.
My starting is 141, I am 24 years old and 5’5″
I started working out on March 7th and do an average of 45 minutes of cardio a day plus crunches and s ( I go to the gym 6 days a week and plan to continue my normal routine while doing the GM Cleanse)
I made a choice to start taking care of my body and being more mindful of what i’m putting in it and so far I feel great!
Day #1 hasn’t been so bad so far, you do pee a lot from all the water and fruit but it’s a good excuse to get up out of my chair and take a break from staring at the computer.
I’ve never done anything like this before and don’t see it so much as a diet rather a cleanse and self awareness of all the good things my body needs (I made the soup in the crock pot last night, I don’t think I had ever bought so many fresh foods in one shopping trip before. It felt good to pass by all those frozen processed foods!)
I will keep you posted on mine and my co-workers progress (she’s not spitting out details of her age and but I’ll be sure to let you know her final results)

  13. Heya people…..just started the gm diet today…….I am 21,weighing 81 kgs 🙁 (height:5.5) ….put on loads of after marriage…..need to loose minimum 15 kgs…wish me luck….

    1. I am 40YRS old and H-5.5 and 68 KGS prior to my diet program with GM
I just lost 2KGS in sixth day!!!!
Wish you luck and good health.
      Take care, CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. I’m starting the diet tom. I don’t drink milk at all.. can i substitute the milk with fat free yogurt? Need some help.

  15. This is Day 3 for me and I’m already down 4.2 lbs (3.5 the first day and .7 my second day). Having done hCG in the past, the diet seems to be really simple for me. I’m loving all the variety of acceptable fruits and veggies.

My first day, I consumed only watermelon and cantaloupe.

My second day, I had my baked potato for breakfast (which was SO good!), followed by zucchini “noodles” and a homemade marinara sauce (tomatoes, onions, garlic and herbs) for lunch and dinner — in addition to a cucumber. I found I wasn’t really hungry on Day 2 and I think it had to do with the zucchini & sauce. They were rather filling.

Today (Day 3) — I had a medley of strawberries, cantaloupe and grapes for breakfast, zucchini “noodles” and sauce for lunch and just ate some more of that fruit medley since I was kinda hungry. I’m planning on having the zucchini “pasta” again for dinner.

I’m definitely looking forward to the next few days. Bananas and milk? YUM! Can’t say I’m thrilled about Day 5 (I’m not a tomato lover) — but it is what it is. Oh — and I haven’t eaten any of the “Wonder Soup” yet. Not sure I will this round.

    Started at 195.9 ~ Currently at 191.7

    1. I was confused about that myself — ’cause it looks like you’re only suppose to eat it on Day 4. However, since it’s made from vegetables, I assume you can eat it on the days that you’re allowed vegetables (which is everyday except Day 1 & Day 5 <— which they only specify tomatoes) — in addition to the banana and milk day, Day 4. But, I've had friends who've used the soup *everyday* since the diet states that it's "a supplement to your diet" AND "you're encouraged to consume large quantities of this soup" and they still have great results. I haven't felt a need for it, though.

      Good luck!

    2. Finished Day 3 with half a watermelon towards the end of the evening.

Day 4 — lost another .7 lbs! Total loss 4.9 lbs. Thoroughly enjoyed the banana and milk day. Had energy to jump on the treadmill and run/walk 2 miles — felt wonderful. I ate all 8 bananas and drank the 3 glasses of milk. Even got another run/walk in with the hubby that evening.

Day 5 — lost another 1.7 lbs! Total loss 6.6 lbs. Today is beef and tomatoes day. We’ll see how it goes! 🙂

      1. Day 5 was the worst day thus far. I’m not a tomato fan — but was determined to stick to the diet and eat ALL 6 tomatoes. The original plan was to make 6 hamburger patties out of the 20 oz. allowed and eat one tomato per burger. I diced up one tomato and crumbled a hamburger patty on top. It was horrible, but I managed to get it down. I decided that I was going to make a tomato soup with the remaining 5 tomatoes — so that’s what I did. Proud to say I consumed the 6 tomatoes for the day — only got in about 6-7 ounces of the meat, though. I was stuffed all day!

Day 6 – lost another pound. Total loss 7.6 lbs. For this day, I made a vegetable beef stew. It had lean chunks of beef, tomatoes, celery, onions and carrots. It was so yummy. I managed to eat 3 bowls throughout the day — it was SO filling. Thinking back, I probably should’ve eaten more throughout the day…

Day 7 — lost only .3 ounces this AM. Total loss 7.9 lbs. I’m happy with that, but still hoping for a bigger number during my last weigh-in tomorrow. Today is brown rice, veggies and fruit juice. I started the morning with a glass of 100% Motts Apple Juice (which was SO good!), followed by a bowl of brown rice with 2 TBSP of Pace Chunky Salsa. I’ll be following that for the rest of the day and will report my ending loss results tomorrow! 🙂

      2. Alright! Completed my 7 days — and I’m highly pleased with my results. Like I said, I continued with the brown rice with salsa and juice through last night. Whenever I weighed in this morning, I was down another 1.4 pounds. That’s a total loss of 9.3 LBS in 7 DAYS!!! So happy. 😀

I’ll be taking today off (it’s my daughter’s birthday) and then will be starting the diet again tomorrow. I’ll be amazed if I have the same results during my second round — but time shall tell.

        Good luck to everybody!

STARTED AT 195.9 ~ ENDED AT 186.6 (whoop, whoop!!!)
