Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleI was searching through the most popular fitness e-books a little while ago and ran into a book, Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle that seemed to be getting a lot of hype from others as the single best fitness book available.

A book by a natural bodybuilder was going to show people how to lose weight and actually gain muscle while losing weight?

Is Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle  the best fitness book out there? I had to see this book myself and decided to give it a review.

Burn the fat feed the muscle is an e-book that has been created by bodybuilding champion Tom Venuto that attempts to teach people all aspects of losing weight while gaining muscle. Many people have called Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle the greatest single best fitness book ever put together and with that kind of hype I wanted to go through chapter by chapter to see if this book really lives up to it’s reputation.

What does Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle include?

The Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle sales letter lists six bonuses which total about another 100 pages of information that I would rather not cover as they are bonuses and not the book itself. I would like to say though that these bonus books are a fantastic addition as they do a deep dive into some of the things that are truly important that no one seems to cover.

Just be aware that the book has a complete diet listed within it and these books are supplemental reports dealing with the burning questions that many people have and that is mainly: Why do certain foods make us fat and other foods do not?

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle

Burn the fat feed the muscle book setup

Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle weighs in at an impressive 340 pages. The book is really solid and has not a single picture although there are some tables of information so there is a lot of reading to do. You can still print up the book but just as any other book on the internet you are going to have to either read the book on your computer or get it printed up.

I will not review each chapter individually but instead would like to go through an overview of the sections of the book as well as list some points that the author raises.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleIntroduction -Tom Venuto stresses the importance of some principles such as no quick fixes, weight loss is not the same as fat loss and that the book is not even just about fat loss but more about making people healthier.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleGoal setting, strategies and motivation -As we all know goal setting is very important to reaching what you want with your health and although I have written extensively about this subject in the past Tom Venuto has done a fantastic job in burn the fat feed the muscle of really crystallizing the art of goal setting so that it will work much better for almost anyone.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleBody types, how to identify what you need – This is the first place in burn the fat feed the muscle where I like the way that Tom Venuto has really broken down how people have different body types. Almost every trainer I have ever seen thinks that every person’s body will react the same way with the same diet and exercise and this book stops that idea dead in its tracks.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleEating, Food, Liquids, and actual meal plans – In Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle Tom Venuto covers a couple of very important points that are very often overlooked in most other books and those are proper intake of liquids and foods that you should eat. Tom Venuto uses about 20 pages to cover foods that you should and should not eat including replacements for some of the bad foods that you are already eating.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleSupplements – Tom Venuto, in Burn the fat feed the muscle, and I are of essentially the same mind on the use of supplements and how this industry is very good at marketing many overpriced products with very little benefits to almost any user unless they are in a very sickly state. Let’s face it, in North America our prosperity has not lead most people to under eat so the supplementation is not the most important thing.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleHowever, Tom Venuto has included information on the most important supplements and I was a little surprised but happy to see how straightforward he is about many of the supplements in the bodybuilding industry and the effect that magazines advertising has had on the objectiveness if those magazines.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleCardio training – We all know how important exercise is in losing weight and the diet that has been created in Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is definitely geared toward having both cardio and weight training as an essential part of the package. I have never seen a diet that did not at least mention exercise but this book stresses it as very important part of the equation and many other diets would do their followers more justice by stressing a lot more exercise.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleWeight training – What would you expect from a natural bodybuilding champion. Tom Venuto covers the exercises that you should do to gain strength and muscle as easily as possible and goes into a lot of detail with tactics that you have never seen before.

Burn the fat feed the muscle price and purchase information

Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle sells on the website for $39.00. This price seems to be in line with most ebooks and is a very popular price. Prices for e-books seem to be artificially low probably because of the lack of a hard bound product and some people’s lack of confidence. In purchasing this book there is a secure page in which to make the purchase so credit card information can be trusted across the internet and a third party takes care of the transaction so that there is no one person that has access to your credit card number but instead only secure computer systems do the transaction.

Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the MuscleAlso Tom Venuto offers the book for only $39.00 plus an eight week money back guarantee. I like the guarantee because if you were to buy this book and decided after a few weeks that it is not something you want to follow then you should really deserve to get a refund.

….Here is a personal review…..

So far I have lost 37 pounds following your “Burn The Fat” guidelines. I was a tight size 18 and am now a loose 12. I weighed 202 pounds and now weigh 165. I feel great and I don’t feel deprived at all. I have changed my lifestyle and am thrilled with the results on every level. I am currently re-evaluating my goals because I BELIEVE I can do more than I ever thought possible.
Nena Nerhan

I have to admit it – I am really impressed by Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle

I was initially skeptical of Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle as I have seen a hundred “Miracle Diets” come and go over the years and did not expect anything more, even from a competitive bodybuilder. I am now though pleasantly surprised and happy to have found this book.

The real rant that I always have with exercise books is that books tend to be fads that just cover one subject whether it is right or wrong and I have far to many of those books already. At least I know that in 10 years Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle will still be relevant because every page in it makes sense.

On the positive side this book is really packed with a lot of detail on how to eat, what to eat, cardio and weight training plans as well as a easy to read style that definitely does away with the hype and does a very good job of realistically training a person to think, eat and exercise right to drop the weight that the want and need to live a healthier lifestyle.

…..And her is one last personal review

“Hey Tom, I just wanted to let you know that today I got my body fat tested using the Jackson-Pollack formula for skinfold, and ended up hitting 4% bodyfat!!!!!!!! Thank you for your guidance in your Burn The Fat manual, I feel like I owe you far more than I paid for the book. During this whole process, I became an ACE certified personal trainer and I’ve been trying to pass on some of your thoughts and motivation to my clients. Thank you!”

In an industry that is full of fads, quick fixes and hype, Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle, although relying on hype in its sales letter definitely does not fall into this trap in its content. I think that this book just may be the best fitness book around. I highly recommend this book for people that are just starting to improve their health as well as to people that have a last few stubborn pounds to lose.

Nice post. I was checking continuously this site and I’m impressed! Extremely useful info specifically the last part I care for such info much. I was looking for this particular info for a long time. Thankyou and best of luck.

  2. Martin says:

I found this book by reading a free e-book at a bodybuilding page, in which he recommended this book. I’m now on page 190 or something and until now it’s only been about nutrition, so I hope the “good stuff” (exercise plans) are comming soon :)

  3. You don’t have to do those long cardio exercises to lose weight!

    • lyra2112 says:

The Burn Fat Feed Muscle plan doesn’t have long cardio, it *is* and important part of burnign fat though. I am doing 20 – 30 minute sessions 4 times a week (combined with strength training) and I am getting great results! I was skeptical at first, but this is a fantastic legit book LOADED with great, proven, common sense knowledge to keep you HEALTHY on your journey to fat free fittness. I highly recommend this book!

  4. VEENA RAWAT says:

My belly is very fatty How I loose weight
    thanks

  5. The general point are very good, however talking about “for different body types” is kinda a point of discussion. Different body types are based on genetics and endocrine system, however the fat burning process is a uniform issue (unless the case of unbalanced hormone system). Also supplements, unless if they are natural like minerals and vitamins, does not make much good on a long run. I always managed to control my weight any time when I was not lazy to exercise and dropped the junk food. I think these two are the real make or break points. Of course for bodybuilding one needs some extra twists.

  6. Great review!

I enjoy your site there’s so much quality content here. Keep up the great work you do for the industry!

  20. Elaine says:

I’ve been trying to decide if I want to purchase this book, especially since $39 out of my budget right now is a lot of money for me….I am 62, years old, am 5’6″ and currently weigh 134 pounds. I’m not unhappy with my weight but I hate that I”m not fitting comfortably in my clothes, especially jeans etc, because of a pouch belly and hips. That seems to be where I have a problem. I don’t want to really lose weight but I would love to have clothes that I”m comfortable. in. People always tell me that I don’t look my age so I can imagine if I was in a little better shape, so to speak, they’d probably drop their jaws…….I really need some guidance as far as willpower and how to handle it, and would love to hear from others in the same situation. Do I, or should I not, spend this money? I can almost justify it if it was a book that I could actually sit down and open to read, but I”m not sure about this ebook thing. I’m not one to get on a computer and read much. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks so much!!

  21. Great ideas, and I agree, weight training is a must

  22. Quick Facts says:

Maybe you could change the page name title Burn the fat feed the muscle – Complete Review of Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle to something more generic for your subject you make. I liked the post nevertheless.

  24. Tom says:

    Great Review.

I just wanted to add my thoughts! I have been following a very similar training program for a while. Too many people avoid strength training when trying to burn fat. Don’t be afraid on building huge muscles, you won’t! include weight training in your routine to really increase your chances of Fat Loss.

  34. Pat Smith says:

Its interesting reading to say the least. Quite a lot of people hope for results in a couple of weeks etc. For the most of us who enjoy any sport understand getting strong, healthy, in shape and fit take time. It doesn’t have to be tough, but the solution is natural and hit the gym. The idea you discuss, burn the fat feed the muscle, this is a powerful idea, because in fact with this thought you can still take in essential fat. Also the reverse is if you don’t burn that intake, well that where the problem starts. Enjoyable material Bill, thanks. http;//www.bodybuildingdietingplan.blogspot.com

    • fitness guy says:

Well the Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle book and program are really good but it is hard to understand if you do not know what it contains. I hope I have put enough detail into the review to help people without dragging the info out too much

  35. That’s really grest information .Supplements are good for convenience if you cannot eat a meal but always aim for real whole food first. Supplements don’t make the program, they’re only there to help you. It is BECAUSE YOU LACK THE PROPER BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS, & due to an ineffective bodybuilding diet and workout plan. For SUPPLEMENTS visit our site :

  36. Lavender Pillow says:

(sigh) Does your program include the will power to stick with it? That’s my biggest problem. Interesting site.

  37. Microwave Heating Pad says:

My buddy got this and has been using it for a couple of months. He has been pretty happy with it.

  38. I am currently putting Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle to the test. Like many others I too have gone through all the other lousy diets out there only to pile the weight back on afterwards, and a little bit more. I’m currently on day 3 and yes i am already thinking “it’s not so bad”. I am enjoying the food and later today I am off to the gym to have a weight training schedule put together. I am really hoping this system is the real thing. I am also showing my results as I progress through the plan on my blog. Wish me luck

    Kerrry Russell

  39. I liked this in depth review. I bought the system a day ago and it definitely highlights the strong points of the product. Not many low points to speak of either.

  44. Matt says:

I bought this system and I must say that I was very impressed with it. There was clearly a lot of research and time put into this product. I used this product and I also combined it with the chest coach system to lose my man boobs :S.

  45. Tracy says:

Hi, I want to loose some weight. any effective tips for that. I will appreciate.

  46. Tom Venuto really is awesome. Sure he is genetically gifted, there is no denying that. But with that being said, he still has worked extremely hard to achieve his amazing physique, and I think it’s great that he is sharing his experience in his ebook.

  47. Dustin M. says:

This is a REALLY good review. This author seems to be an expert from what I’ve read. What is so important to lose weight and burn fat are often neglected by the majority of the population.

  48. Muscletorq says:

Nice review of the product. Venuto is an expert and is the guru of burningfat rapidly but in a safe way. And what is important is you burn the fat and feed the muscle with loss in weight which is equal to a totally ripped physique of any athlete or whomsoever uses this program exactly as it told to use.

  49. Rui Almeida says:

This is a very good review. Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is truly important when it comes to fitness books.
It gives the right information on how to burn fat there by toning and building the muscle in the right way.

    Rui

  50. Get Skinny says:

It’s a solid program. Venuto knows is stuff and is willing to share it all with others. Worth $35 IMO

  51. good preview, very detailed information. thank you.

  52. Fbf syste says:

yes, its a great solution to weight loss

  53. FatBurning says:

This book must be good for us because it contains all the information that how can we lose extra weight from our body.

  54. Very useful and informative book on fat loss. It gives the right information on how to burn fat thereby toning and building the muscle in the right way. And, of course very good review of the book.

  55. Stephanie says:

I purchased this ebook over a year ago. I LOVE IT! I have read it 3 times and have learned something new each time. There is so much great information and it makes sense. I have been working out hard for over a year and have lost 25 pounds, but have gone back to the book because I was loosing muscle (following the Plan at the big Franchise Gym) This book is over 300 pages and would have cost way more at the book store. It is a must have book, it explain everything so much better then anyother book or plan I have read in the past.

  56. Good review! Tom was the one teaching me that weight loss does not equal fat loss! I have the highest respect for his knowledge in fat loss, he certainly knows what he is talking about and walks his talk.

  57. Michael says:

Keep off the fast food. Eat fresh fruit and veggies. take a walk each day. You will lose weight.

Sitting you bum in a chair all day is a sure garantee to accumulate weight.

  58. Acai Burn Max says:

    Great article, I loved it!

  59. kandi says:

Hi, I’m new in blogging. I Have read your post nd I was amazed. Actually I’m getting ideas from you. I hope to see more from you. Thank you very much.

  60. Chris says:

I found this book online almost 10 years ago and read through it. My problem had always been consistency. But this book really helped me out with everything from shopping for food to how to help maintain my positive mental attitude. He even speaks in a way that is simple for those who don’t already understand health and nutrition.

The thing he stresses, that I won’t forget, is that a Diet is a temporary thing. He speaks about how this is a life change. And that is the only way to make this work. I have this book and have suggested it ever since I read it through the first time.

There is no need to cross your fingers with this book. The only thing keeping you from losing weight and gaining health is you. This book is one of the best guides I’ve seen ever.

  61. andy says:

i’m not really sure your review tells me anything about the book. Being a cynic a have to say feels more like a sales pitch than anything else especially as it includes links and reviews.

If this is so fantastic and amazing why isn’t it out there for everyone to benefit from. I guess the anser is that as mentioned by a few people on here there is nothing new or amazing about the programme.

Being a fat lad myself and having struggled for too many years, i know that weight comes from work harder, eat better, cross your fingers and hope gentics don’t get in the way too much.

But as i mentioned i am a cynic.

  62. Hira Zaigham says:

To loose weight n burning calories is not that difficult as everybody thinks…. what u need to do is just prepare your mind and then go for it!! but 4 loosing the weight.. three things are very important and i.e; 1:REGULARITY 2:CONSISTENCY IN DIET 3:EXERCISE. If u act on these three words i think no one can stop you to achieve your goals… :)

  63. hj112 says:

Burning calories is one thing I think every day about. I’ve had some success but it takes a lot of my energy and time to do exercise as much as needed for visible results. Quality weight loss products are certainly of a great help. They make things easier and somewhat faster which is very important in today’s busy world.

  64. you are right now, more than ever, the so called miracle diets come and go so fast. People need good solid info.

  65. Philly says:

Thank you for posting a review for this product. I have always been suspicious of it, but thanks to your review i know the facts now!

  66. Thanks for this nice article. Nothing is more important than fitness and health!

  67. Beat Maker says:

Hi Frank, At 6’1 and 160lbs this program is not for you. You need either a weight on program and/or a body building program. You’ll need to look at your body type and metabolism, age and fitness etc. I am 6’3 and used to be around 165lbs and built like a whippet. I joined a gym, ate around 4-5000 calories a day plus protein supplements and struggled to get to 200lbs in a year. I kept that up for a few years but when I hit 40 my work meant I stopped exercising and my wife is a great cook also I slowly ballooned to 225 pounds which was mainly stomach. I then found Tom’s book ( and had a bit of a lifestyle change) and now I am 220lbs and have moved all my belly fat into chest muscle. To be fair I have managed to keep this up as I have had a lifestyle change and now I able to swim every day which keeps me well fit. So sorry about the long story but my point is it depends where you are in your life cycle as to what program may suit you best. Unfortunately, if you are like me (at least when I was younger), then putting weight on is very hard work. Everyone overweight thinks that is a dream situation but you can feel just as bad about an underweight body as an overweight body.

  68. Jimmy Bryant says:

I found this book very useful and I believe Tom is the real deal, look at his results and track record. Very impressive indeed!

  69. Sam says:

I found the book quite useful with mainly good information. Not everything might apply to your lifestyle, but it’s up to each individual to use the parts that seem helpful and adapt it to your life and eating habits. I think it’s got some very good ideas and it’s certainly worked for me.

  70. I was on a program with the same fundamentals about diet and ecxcersise but was getting so-so results. After i read this book 1 year ago it answered some questions i was havng and couldn’t find the answer. It really is in great detail. I think there are alot of programs that work out there but that the system is only 1 part of the problem. The main reason people fail in diets is due to poor willpower and persistence.

  71. Frank says:

Interesting product, quick question- Is this plan effective for strictly gaining muscle mass as well, or is it more of a weight loss/ musclebuilding diet. I am 6’1″ 160 so am really only looking to gain mass.

  72. Bill says:

Venuto is one of the best authors out there in the fitness genre. He is very scientific but his writing style is anything but dry. It’s quite entertaining. And the dude is cut!

  73. Linda says:

Very interesting information about weight loss here. I already have a program I’m very happy with but I like to see everything that is out there. My question is, out of all of the programs that you have reviewed, which would you say is your top pick and why? Thanks :)

  74. Janetta Chears says:

As a Newbie, I am always searching online for articles that can help me. Thank you

  75. Steve says:

This is a very good review. Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is truly the “Bible” when it comes to fitness books. If you follow the excellent information provided by Tom Venuto, there’s no reason why you can’t “burn the fat, feed the muscle”. Good job Bill.

  76. vincentwang says:

This is a really a good review. I am a sports man, and often do sport to burn my fat. I have read this book and try all kinds of ways which was mentioned in “Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle”. Really worthwhile. But If you really want to keep fit, do remember to keep on doing what this ebook suggest.

  77. dhs says:

This is a good review! I have read all kinds of books and tried all kids of diets. Everyting from Body for Life to Atkins, to SB, Slim Fast, etc….. This book focuses on the right foods, intervals, excercise, and quatities to get where you need to be. It talks on a level practically anyone can understand but also gets much deeper in certain areas around your body, motabolism, and how your body processes food. This stuff just works if you do it period, end of discussion, and 99% of people can due this unless they have some medical condition preventing the foods/excercise. It is possible with the right diet to keep most of your muscle if not gain a little and still burn and shred fat off.

  78. Taylor280 says:

I had struggled with my weight since getting out of the Army. I think I have read all the books out there, used personal trainers, $1000′s in supplements, and it all made sense the 2nd or 3rd time I re-read BFFM. It is mostly common sense anyhow, but Tom put it together and made it seem so much easier. It was a turning point for me. And seeing Tom at Empire Fitness everyday, watching him live what he wrote helped as well, always with a bucket of chicken, broccoli and rice.

  79. A critical review! I Totally agree with your review Bill.

  80. Six Pack says:

Great review.Looking forward to the ebook

  81. Matt says:

This is a really in depth review of burn the fat, I’m glad you put so much time and effort into it so that people can get all the facts, both positive and negative, about the product and then decide whether or not it is right for them.

  82. Adam says:

i have to agree that after reviewing a lot of weight-loss orientated ebooks, Tom Venuto’s Burn The Fat is by far and away the ‘bible’ of information & i’ve seen very little bad feedback.

  83. Jeff Kalhoon says:

Totally agree with your review Bill. It’s a great ebook and Tom really does deliver with the info inside. I’ve also reviewed it and I actually learned quite a few things myself that I still use on a daily basis.

  84. Bill Nad says:

I am glad to hear Janet at how well that you have done.
I always think that people are going to look at Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle and think that the program is for young bodybuilders, nothing could be more wrong. The program is really built my a bodybuilder to help us regular people get in better shape

  85. Janet Darbey says:

I would just like to say that it worked for me. I read Toms articles until I had enough money to buy the book. I follow the plan 100 percent ever hour of every day.

The change in my body has been amazing. I have lost bodyfat and built good quality muscle, something I never acheived before. I intend to compete in my first show for 23 years at the end of this year, and I am a 52 year old grandmother!

  86. Christian G says:

I just wanted to say that I am your everyday guy, 23 years old and have always been over weight. I can tell you that I have read the SouthBeachDiet, Eat Right for Your Bloodtype, The Genotype Diet, and the list goes on and on. I used to consider myself smart in the ways of health and knowing what the body needs but after reading this book I know that NOW I knew nothing before. What I used to think was important wasn’t all that important and what I didn’t really follow, things like eating more often during the day and knowing what to eat, I didn’t. This book makes all of those “diets” seem like jokes because everything he says makes sense. What I liked about this book was that I never went against anything else I have ever read. In fact, it does the opposite; this book breaks everything down for you. It does it step by step. If you are over weight, skinny, or naturally muscular but lazy this book covers everything for everyone. Just wait till you read it I promise that it will be worth it. It really changed my life.

  87. Derek Manuel says:

Great stuff. For those who have trouble gaining weight and building muscle in the first place should also learn to do heavy, high rep breathing squats, it is the closest thing to a miracle exercise for gaining weight and building muscle mass for hardgainers. http://www.hardgainers-weight-tips.com

  88. John says:

I just wanted to say that I’ve actually been following Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle for about 18 months now. I lost 60 pounds by following the diet and exercise suggestions in the book in the first 6 months. Since then I’ve kind of been relaxed and haven’t lost any more, but I have kept it off for the past year. Which has always been my hardest problem. What I think I like best about this book is that it isn’t so much a strict diet, but it gives alot of detail about what foods you should or shouldn’t eat and why. And it stressed that losing weight is not easy, which a lot of fad diets seem to imply.

  89. Rajeev says:

    Hi.
I review Ebooks myself. This does look like a sales pitch but to tell you the truth its AWESOME and Number one. I really get to know the inside of the book and its actually what most people who are interested to buy are looking for. So who the hell cares if it looks like a sales pitch for someone who is not interested in buying it. Frankly i think this review is one of the best i have read ever. I write reviews myself But i cannot match the one above.
    Warm regards
    Rajeev

Thanks for the support there Rajeev, yes I wanted to have good info in the review. With an ebook it is not like a real book were you can thumb through it at the local bookstore. I tried to cover everything that someone would need to know before going to the actual “sales pitch” page where they will find more information from Tom, the writer of the book

  90. Aditya says:

How much did Tom pay you for this review? This looks like another sales pitch, not a review.
    —————————————————-
It may look like a sales pitch. I have read through all 340 pages of the book and it is indeed fantastic info. There is a guarantee on it as well. The other way that I could review this book is by saying that I really like it and stop there but I think that people would like to see a review of what it is all about before they buy.

  91. pure-weight-loss says:

Thanks for honest review. I also want to lose my weight fast, so I hope it will help me to achieve my goal.

  92. This was one of the best reviews I have seen about the book. I purchased the book, read half-way through it, and then got side-tracked. After reading your review, I realize that I missed out on some of the main gems the book has to offer. Thanks again for this post. -Zoe
