Many people this time of year would love to burn more fat and the best way to do this is through a great fat burning workout. There are three kinds of workouts. There is a weight lifting workout where you are slowly conserving energy and trying to gain muscle. There is a cardio workout where you are burning all of the glycogen in your muscles and hopefully some fat as well and there is a Circuit training workout that will help you burn fat really quickly while gaining some muscle at the same time. To do a great fat burning workout you will want to get a bit of a warmup first by doing 5 or 10 minutes of cardio. You can warmup with either a bike or treadmill or even an elliptical trainer. After you are well warmed up you can get to the point of starting your fat burning workout. The key to the fat burning workout is both to use different muscles to failure and to not rest between sets. Here are the exercises you can try to start with Bench press – sets of 10 repetitions To do these you are going to try to work all of these together as a 10-15 minutes set and when you are finished you will be beat. This takes a lot out of you because you are working your whole body with almost no rest for yourself. Once you have recovered for a couple of minutes do the whole set again. In fact a workout of circuit training like this will involve doing three full sets like this and will probably take about 45 minutes. If you dare to do this kind of fat burning workout you will leave the gym feeling a lot shakey and veery sick. It is a tough workout but you will get a lot out of it so it is really worth it. Here are some tips for getting the most out of this fat burning workout. Drink lots of wateryou will dehydrate quickly and it is a good idea to keep the water flowing. Try different exercises as you get used to this – Muscle confusion is the key to getting circuit training to work. If you are changing your exercises then your body will not get used to the workout and you will continue to lose weight trying this method Compound exercises are importantExercises like bench presses, military presses, lat pulldowns, and leg presses are used in my sample workout because they use more than one muscle group. Compound exercises tend to have primary muscles and secondary muscles. We are only counting the primary muscles like chest back or shoulders but these secondary muscles like biceps and triceps are getting a great workout as well. Doing Compound exercises is a good way to get a great fat burning workout because all of your muscles are always working as primary or secondary levers. Controlled reps and setsBecause you are not giving yourself any long breaks between sets of exercises does not mean that you should rush your repetitions, you want to do nice clean repetitions with no cheating at all, even when you are tired Finally chart your progressAs you do this kind of workout you will find that you are getting stronger quickly even though you are focusing on doing the exercises quickly. As long as you are figuring out where you were last week, where you are today, and where you are hoping to be tomorrow then you are doing well. A fat burning workout like I have illustrated above will definitely help. The other part of your fat loss is by keeping your metabolism high using good eating habit. If you eat 6 small meals a day your metabolism will be supercharged and you will lose weight much easier. Looking to make a change and lose some weight? I have recently added yoga to my regular cardio work out because I heard that it is a great way of toning without adding bulk, particularly for women. Do you know if this is true? Thanks for the post.
I have a hard time keeping off the “winter weight.” I go to school in the morning and work at a bank all day but i still find time to work out for an hour to an hour and a half almost everyday. I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge of things i could try or any weight lifting progams that could possibly help me out.
This is my first time on this blog and I really like the content ; ) Have you guys checked out thedailyskinny.com yet? It’s mainly for healthy weight loss, but they also get into some great nutrition and exercise advice.
I found a site that posts for free hundreds of fat burning exercises with computer modeling so you know what you’re doing. They can also help you put together a workout plan to stay on top of your goals.
