I believe no matter what some people say that the master cleanse diet is a great idea for everyone to try at some point. I will tell you a bit why.

Most of us go through life having some up and down days and exercise or try to eat better to improve how our energy, concentration and look are. Not trying to hard but doing what we can.

Well for some people that is just not enough. I know that years ago I was the picture of fitness and then through some bad decisions my body started feeling not so great. My wife had to do one of those one day cleanses and I jumped at trying it as well just for a lark on a Sunday.

I can tell you I felt great the next day and for weeks afterwards. That one day cleanse changed the way I looked at cleanses although sometimes the medical community is slow to pick up on the results.

Anyone that has listened to the Howard Stern show on the radio, or has seen the movie Private Parts has seen Robin Quivers, the straight girl to Howard’s crazy antics. Well I just ran across a quote from a People magazine article where she said the following about doing a detox cleansing called the Master Cleanse diet:

“This wasn’t about weight loss,” says Quivers, who traces her health problems to steroid-based medication that she took in 1989 to regulate her menstrual cycle, “I was really trying to regain my health, and that’s what it did.”

“She’s a whole different person, “says Howard Stern producer Gary Dell’Abate, “I’ve been with her 20 years, and I’ve never seen her this happy and confident.”

As a fitness and health blogger I get lots of people asking and commenting on how good cleanses are for them in general and the master cleanse diet it particular and I know that the medical community is split, but once you do a cleanse, a proper cleanse, you will see and feel the difference as your body becomes much more powerful and you have better concentration and clarity.

Many people will do some kind of fast or detox or cleanse or whatever you call it to lose weight and although you will lose some weight it is like starvation weight, it will come back over time. If however you do the master cleanse diet with the right idea, to make your body healthier and more efficient then you are going to jump start yourself to losing weight much more easily because you will be in fact making your body work better and you will not be fighting the toxins in your body at all.

What is the Master Cleanse Diet?

Out of all the cleanses out there I had heard that the Master Cleanse is the best one. The master cleanse is also known as the lemonade diet or the cayenne pepper and lemonade diet. The 10 day diet is the detox method that you hear about celebrities doing and having success with. I just also heard from my wife that the girls on The View were talking about the Master Cleanse last week and Beyonce used it in getting read for the movie Dreamgirls. The Master Cleanse diet is free and you can buy the stuff for it at the suppermarket but really it is very very tough to follow through on

Why is the Master Cleanse Diet Tough?

At the start of the Master Cleanse diet everyone is excited but after the first or second day a lot of people bail out. It is importnat ot go through the full 10 days of the Master Cleanse diet and after a lot of searching I have found a way that should help you.

I have found a great and cheap product that not only teaches you how to do the Master Cleanse but since it is so difficult for the 10 days it is also a guide on how to do the cleanse most successfully so that you do not quit half way through.

I have never recommended a fast or cleanse before because I never ran across one that had the support system for it. I could make up a cleanse right now that would probably be good but if I had no support system for anyone to go through is then what would be the point, by lunch the first day you would drop it for a hamburger.

  1. I like to cleanse about twice a year. The Master Cleanse is a little difficult to do but well worth it. I usually loose about 10 lbs and feel great afterwards.

    be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they just

  3. This a great weight loss quick diet, but be careful about the timing. Stay hydrated and when you are back to eating, do your best not to overeat to make up for your cleanse. Weight loss doesn’t always come easy.

  4. Hello everyone is anyone on here still trying the MC? I was last here on Aug 5…and finally started but i messedup today but not giving up….im a bit dissapointed been doing so good…anyone else doing the MC andf want to join me on this joyride?!? Please do would be nice to have someone to do it with… so far this is what ive accomplished;

    Aug 31, 2012 – Fri Night (TEA)
    Sep 1, 2012 – Sat (SWF-Lemonade+water ONLY) – before bed (tea)
    Sep 2, 2012 – Sun (SWF-Lemonade+water ONLY) – before bed (tea)
    Sep 3, 2012 – Mon (SWF-Lemonade+water ONLY) – before bed (tea)

    I know i messed-up but hopefully that pizza will hold me and honestly it wasnt good at all…gonna stay strong as much as possible and busy …
    I am finishing up my tea and drinking water than willd rink my tea and start all over tomorrow and continue doing so..
    Im also doing wraps which help and some belly dancing, house chores and keeping busy and distracted as much so my mind isnt on food…
    I am using 8 TBSP of grade B instead of 12 it isnt so bad and I can honestly say that the SWF is vecome so so easy for me to do no more gagging or the need to puke it is so easy for me to drink which is a bonus…toung still sugar coated but even when it turns pink again I will still continue to do the MC..

    I suffer from migraines and sinuses and back pain and have to rely on pills which was a prob for me but ive manage to go around it.. a few tips;

    Use a headstick roll on for your forehead if you suffer from migraines or get headaches this way you dont have to take pills..
    use a back brace or hot water bottle, and nasal spray or bicks inhaler if you suffer from sinus like i do and this really works good…well good luck to everyone doing the MC ….oh almost forgot I have lost a total of 7lbs prob more tomorrow i hope so but not sure cause of pizza )-: i feel terrible but hanging in there im doing this more for a detox…I think the wraps help a great deal too.. which reminds me i have to do one tonight wish me luck guys ….if you wanna do this together my email is wicker_park_911@yahoo.com xxx

Im starting in a weeks time more or less… Just mentally preparing myself for this challenge…I’ve tried it in the past and learned why i failed so many times…If anyone wants to do it together let me know…im doing it for 30 days but taking breaks in between weeks with small healthy meals in the evening still drinking the lemanade concoction during the day..once a week thats not too bad…but if i can go all the way through will try my hardest good luck to all..

  6. Hi all I been reading your post and love the posotibity that flows about. I tried the MC before and lasted 5 days the 1st time and i have to say my skin was radiant looking very clear and younger i was kind of shock a great feeling… and lost 11 lbs … and didnt really had any side effects maybe a headache the first night and that was it…Now the 2nd time I tried i keep having a prblem with my poor bum sorry to be so personal but i was wondering if anyone is having any problems with a sore butt%$^^&%!!! because on the same night or the 2nd night i use the potty I am sore from using the bathroom so much..and noticed bleeding before so had to stop the MC which was very upsetting cause I have all my products just sitting there and dying to do the MC but my only prob is that.. so wondering if anyone has the same prb or any advice would be great.. I try using caseline to soothen it up but sometimes it just doesnt help when i do use the bathroom.. Please any advice would be great nothing i experienced before and not sure why now i am?!?? is there a solution to this?? TYhx for any advice and good luck to everyone..

  7. I’m starting this weekend! Anyone want to buddy up on this w/me? I’ve been hesitant but my weight gain is not slowing down & is causing me problems. I’ve always been very athletic but w/this new weight gain, I get winded going up 2 flights of stairs. . I’m 5’4″ & 160# & counting.   9. Giving my update on the Master Cleanse…I did not start off with the Ease-in process like I planned. I started the night of 4/28 by drinking my laxative and when I woke up the morning of 4/29 I jumped right into the cleansing process. The lemonade was nothing like i thought it would be. I was under the impression that it would be this nasty spicy tasking drink but, it was the total opposite. I actually LOVE how the drink tastes. I feel full after drinking it and I have not yet to have any problems so far. When I woke up this morning (which is my Day 2) I got right up without hitting the snooze button. I really think I will make it through my 10 or 14 day period. I haven’t decided how long I will do the Master Cleanse.

    • Today is day 3 and so far I’ve lost 4lbs since Sunday. I feel as though I have enough strength and engery to do a little bit of exercise. I plan to do some walking, light weights and maybe a few reps of squats and crunches. I really want to lose 20lbs, and hopefully I will be able to reach my goal. If anyone has any tips on what things I can do to help me reach my goal please let me know.
