Well spring seems to have finally arrived here in Calgary and not a moment too soon. There has been a lot of snow and late snow at that across Canada and the northern US.

Many people have been trying to follow through on New Years resolutions and others of courese did not bother. Well here we are at the beginning of May and as the month starts we look down to see a bit of flab, or the muscles don’t look as firm as we would like or even our eating amy not be up to our wished for standard.

Don’t despair it is not to late to be ready for Summer.

I know that I pushed myself harder then usualy back in February and March to get ready for our family vacation to Hawaii and was pretty happy about the changes that I made. Really all you need to do is make a few short term goals.

1. Resolve that you are going to eat better. This does not mean that you are going to turn around your entire diet, may you will but… Most importantly try to eat better meals and snacks, eat less junk food and generally think before you put the food in your mouth

2. Start an exercise plan. If you are not exercising regularly this is the single best way to get yourself in better health for Summer. Start the day with a 30 minute walk outside and then do the same after dinner. This is anice relaxing way to get some exercise and it makes a huge difference getting out and moving for a helf hour twice a day.

Two changes, that is all you really need to make in May and you will see results easily before June. The differences that I made were eating and a lot more lifting back in February but you do not even need to do that at all if you want to be in better shape before Summer.

Let me know how this goes, you know as I send out these little blog posts I do get some but not a lot of feedback. Post a comment and tell me if this is what you are looking for. Do you get much from these posts? Are you hoping for more indepth articles?

I can get very specific if you would like but more importantly I find that most people just need to make a few small changes and that these changes bring huge results.
