  2. Cut back on your White carbs (rice, potatoes, pasta) and substitute with vegetables, which are higher in water and nutrients anyway
  3. Exercise first thing in the morning by walking or light jogging or even biking for 30 to 45 minutes
  4. Drink water from morning until night to stave off those urges to eat more food and to keep your metabolism up
  5. Eat all your food in those 5 or 6 meals before 7:30 at night so that you are not going to sleep on a full stomach

  2. I agree it’s pretty simple. The hard part is just doing it! I like writing down my goals and sticking them everywhere. fridge, mirrors, even the front door so I remember on my way out.

  4. I have been eating right (under 1200 calories and 25 fat grams per day) and walking (@135 steps per minute) for 6 weeks. I can’t lose any . Any suggestions?

    1. that is why.. you are consuming less calories that you should be. At minimum, you should eat at least 1200 calories. Don’t deprive your body from the nutrients it needs!!

  5. An excellent way to help in fat loss while training is to super hydrate with ice cold water. This process will help burn fat in that drinking a gallon of water within a 14 hour period.

    Since it takes energy to bring the ice cold water to core temperature as it is consumed , calories will be burned off in this process. 1 gallon of ice water requires 123 calories of heat energy to warm it to core body temp.

    Also since the liver’s main function is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy, it could be very well minimized if the kidney function is hampered by dehydration calling on the liver to flush out the stored fat needed to metabolize into this enrgy.

  7. I need to lose 15 pounds in order to join the military, how can i achieve this in the shortest amount of time possible, i already run for about 30 mins a day and do dips as well as pushups since i do not have access to gym equipment.

      I’m 116 lbs, 5’2, 16 year old girl. I have a lot of water retention because I don’t drink enough water. I don’t know how to get into the habit…
      The thing is I don’t eat as much as the average person. I barely eat any junk and I mostly eat vegetables and lots of fruits. A typical meal would be breakfast: oatmeal, lunch: a whole wheat small sandwhich, dinner: a chicken salad. That’s it! And then for exercise I walk an hour a day, have 2 taekwondo classes a week and am currently taking dance class which is 1 hr 30 min. I reaaallly want to lose 10 lbs I just can’t seem to an I don’t know why 🙁

        For your height, and level of physical activity you’re beyond healthy. Don’t waste time worrying about losing and just enjoy your life as a young person because you’re only young once and you don’t want it to pass you by because you were too busy worrying.

        i am over and i am high school student. i do exercise daily and i burned 800 calories a day. i eat milk and Cheerios and salad for lunch and i drink lot of water i didn’t eat dinner.
