Fat Loss for Idiots is a site and diet that my wife had learned about from her stepmom. Initially I looked at the Fat Loss For Idiots website and saw that after clicking though a bunch of pages of information I found that the program was only $39.

  1. Janice – Yep I am going to make Thanksgiving one of my cheat days. I have a cousin who is a big time marathon runner. Every time she is over for Thanksgiving she eats like a bird. I don’t know how she does it with all of the yummy stuff all over the place. That’s not for me though. I’m pretty much going to pig out. 🙂

  2. Wow sorry to hear that Big Sexy. Don’t give up on this plan yet though. It’s been working for you. Everyone seems to drop quite a bit of on their first cycle. I feel that to get the good results you desire on any cycle after the first one consistency is key. I’ve had good success on all of my cycles because I have pretty much kept my routine constant throughout. For me success and good results have come from:

    Following the generated eating plan without falling off the wagon. (very difficult, but I have followed it exactly) 🙂

    2 half hour brisk walking sessions each day. Even on cheat days. (I have not missed a single day doing this)

    Drinking plenty of water. (I’ve been getting the target amount most days)

    This is what has worked for me. I don’t know if you would need to do the walking each and every day. But its been working so well that I am not going to mess with success. My cycles have been:

    Cycle #1 – 13 lbs lost.
    Cycle #2 – 9 lbs lost.
    Cycle #3 – 8 lbs lost.
    Cycle #4 – 4 lbs lost. (I’m starting day 5 of this cycle today)

    You had similar results to mine on your first cycle. So its working for you. I think if you can just keep it consistent you will see the results you want.

  3. Oh, that’s really too bad Big Sexy. Sorry to hear but don’t give up, you can get past all that cheating. I did. 🙂 Well, I cheat less!!!

    I am down another .9 lb today for a grand total of 2 lbs so far this cycle. It’s not a lot but I don’t care. I have two more days to lose on this shorter cycle and then one cheat day so I think I can make it to my goal of 3-4 lbs. Next week I really want to focus and not cheat at all. In my defense, it was my hormonal time (cleaned up language for the men on this forum haha) and I did want to eat everything I saw. I think I did well. haha

    Anyway, big walk in store for today along with the rest of my Christmas shopping. For all you Americans who are having Thanksgiving… say screw it and eat what you want. Thanksgiving rules! We’ve already had ours up here in Canada a while ago so I’m good. 🙂

  4. Well my 2nd cycle turn out to be a bust I didn’t lose any and gained 2lbs, current 236. My off and on cheating got the best of me, I begin my cheat days today. I’ll basically do the same thing I did on my last cheat days hopefully I’ll lose the 2lbs or not gain any . Cycle 3 starts on Monday I’ll let you know what happen Monday morning.

  5. Well, I’m down today but only by .7 lbs. That makes for 1.1 lbs lost this cycle so far. I did a lot of damage with my cheating on monday and tuesday but I’m back on track now and making up for my mistakes. Hey, I’ve lost almost 18 lbs since starting this diet 3 cycles ago. That’s not bad, especially considering that I yo-yoed during my cheat days and basically lost the same 8 lbs twice. 🙂

    My cheat day this week will be on Sunday rather than saturday. I think I need the extra day to reach my goal for this week. 🙂

    That being said I’m off to a fast start on cycle #4. I’ve lost 3 lbs in two days. All well and good, but I’d like to see some consistency through the entire cycle. I’ll see what happens with breaking it up. Again I’m trying 5 cycle days, 1 cheat day, 6 cycle days, 2 cheat days. Hopefully it will confuse my body more and keep the pounds dropping off the entire cycle. I’ll keep you posted.

  7. I’m wearing the jeans today and they just fit me. So weird. They were bagging off me 7 lbs ago!!!

    Anyway, back on track today. I weighed in and I didn’t gain back what I’d lost on the first two days but I did negate most of it. I’m down a grand total of .4 lb since sunday.

    I’m not upset though. I’m human and I do give in sometimes. Today I’m just going to eat wisely, take a nice long walk and hope that, by saturday morning, I’m down 3 lbs. If I’m not, then I’ll diet saturday too and have my cheat day on sunday. I’ll have a better time next week.

    Janice – Hmm no idea about the jeans. You are 7 pounds lighter than the last time you tried them on. I know you can’t be that bloated or anything. So one would have to assume that there is something different with the jeans this time around. Oh well you will be in them soon I’m sure.

  9. So, here’s something I’m confused about. When I first started losing and I got down by 10 lbs there was a pair of jeans that got a little loose on me and really felt comfortable rather than tight. Now, down 17 lbs they’re tight again. What the? They were freshly dryed in the machine the first time and same now so that’s not it. I haven’t been measuring myself because I don’t have a tape measurer but I’m confused! They should be looser!!!

    Anyway, I’m going to keep losing and those jeans will be perfect for me soon enough.

    I had a bit of a fall off the wagon today. I walked by Wendys and my boyfriend called to ask what I wanted to eat. I got us each a Baconater meal. haha That’s a 1/2 lb burger!!! I don’t want to beat myself up over it though, so I’m just going to move on and eat great tomorrow. I’m hoping for an overall loss of just 3 lbs this week. Check back in tomorrow.

    You know that sounds like a good idea and on the cheat days keep the basics of the plan. I’ll try that after I do about 2 more cycles.

  11. Keep it going Big Sexy. You are doing good. It’s not easy but the reward comes on that final weigh in. Janice and I are altering our plans a little. I am doing 5 day’s on the plan, then use one of my cheat day’s, followed by 6 day’s on the plan and then my other two cheat day’s. Breaks it up a little and hopefully it will help me shed more pounds in the last 4 or 5 days.

    It’s been a while, everything was going ok on cycle 2. Today I’m on day 9, lost 4lbs so far, day 8 I fell off the wagon scrapped my knee but I’m back on. Hope it doesn’t do too much damage for my offical weigh in on Friday morning. I’m glad my cheat days will be here soon, I’m starting to get a little bored, but I can’t stop because this is REALLY working for me. I’ll tune in on Friday and after my cheat days.

  15. Sorry Audrey, other than veggie day we’re pretty much plain Janes around here. Lots of turkey slices, cheese slices and cottage cheese for me. I had to stop eating so much shrimp because, like you, I got sick of it very quickly. Now I just use it every once in a while. Try playing with your meal plans a bit and find something you like.

    For instance, if you’re to eat chicken and sausage, then maybe substitute the sausage for some nice jalapeno havarti cheese melted over the chicken breast. Baked the breast in salsa first of course. 🙂 It’s a nice zesty meal. It’s not huge, but remembering to stop when you’re satisfied means that you get used to eating smaller meals quickly. I usually never finish a full breat now.

    I enjoy snacks of cottage cheese and peanuts. The creamy and salty combination reminds me of the chocolate and salt combinations in treats that I like.

    You really have to watch the cheat days. It’s not permission to go whole hog and eat everything in sight. We find around here that its usual to gain back 2-3 lbs but some of our group have done three whole days without gain. It is possible.

  16. Hi I have some questions on this diet. I would like to loose about 12 lbs in total, so I feel this diet should work for me. The first time I tried it I lost 5.5 lbs but gained 4.5 on the 3 days off. I thought trying it again (2nd time) I would loose very quickly the first few days so that I could start loosing from the 5.5. Never happened! 2nd time I lost 5 lbs (so I ended up weighing the same as I did after the 1st 11 days). Not to happy but thought that I would start again for the holidays. (Especially since I am down about 3 pounds in total from the first time I started the diet!)…though on my days off do do enjoy eating!!!
    What I really hate about the diet is meals like Chicken and sausage links or Delicious shrimp and apple. Any recipe suggestions? There is so much shrimp cocktail that I can eat! Not delicious anymore!! Would like to cook the chicken with maybe onions & some type of a veggie stir fry but can’t.
    Any recipe ideas would be welcomed! Thanks!

  17. I know that some people have said that they have tried the diet and were not able to get the results promised. Some have also said they could not get the refund but I promise you a refund is possible. I tried the diet for 3 cycles the first one went great and I figured something would finally work but the next 2 cycles didn’t work out so well. Between my job and school it was not always possible to eat as the diet said. On the 3 cheat days I followed the rules still with little loss to show for it. I sent a simple letter to both addresses below saying that I would like a refund I had followed the diet and lost very little and when taking my cheat days gained most of it back. I encluded my physical address along with an e-mail address which they could contact me at and within about 2 weeks I had the money back in my pay pal account. I decided with all the struggels I’ve been having lately, I need to take a break from “fat loss 4. . . ” As you know, it wasn’t working well for me lately, and I’m dealing with a LOT of negative stuff in my life right now, so I think I need to concentrate on other things while I attempt to continue to maintain.
