Fat Loss for Idiots is a site and diet that my wife had learned about from her stepmom. Initially I looked at the Fat Loss For Idiots website and saw that after clicking though a bunch of pages of information I found that the program was only $39.
As a fitness and health enthusiast I know that there are no easy ways out of weight losing so when I first saw all of the hype around fat loss for idiots I was of course initially skeptical.
I have scoured the internet looking for more information on the Fat Loss For Idiots program and would like to present this to you here so that you can make an informed decision when you visit the Fat Loss For Idiots site.
Lose Weight Fast with Fat Loss 4 Idiots?
Fat Loss for Idiots claims you can lose 9 pounds lost in 11 days. Wow, is this possible? You probably have your doubts but I know because I have seen it happen, with the right diet and exercise program you can lose weight and lose it quickly.
The basics of Fat Loss 4 Idiots are based around four basic principles:
- The Food that you eat is decided by a special Diet Generator on the website
- You Eat 4 or 5 times a day until you are satisfied but not overfull
- You go on the diet for 9 days and then take two days off and eat what you want
- You do a bit of walking everyday
You do not live on this diet for life but instead Fat Loss 4 Idiots teaches you how to eat correctly and after you have lost your weight you know how to maintain at a good healthy weight. After that quick weight loss it is important that you continue eating according to the plan and get some exercise of any kind and you will continue losing weight. The way the diet cycles means that you should lose weight every week with no bad weeks at all.
Fat Loss for Idiots Meal Plan
Fat Loss for Idiots food is made up of lean proteins,fruit and vegetables, and the sources of fat come from whole foods (such as cottage cheese or eggs). There are some starchy carbohydrates (such as oats and pasta). The day is divided into 4 meals that should be eaten at a maximum of 2 1/2 hours apart. There is no calorie or carb counting, no limit on portion size – Fat Loss 4 Idiots says you “just eat short of being full”.
After the 11 day meal plan there is a 3 day “cheat” – where you get to eat whatever you want. Then you are back into the 11 day plan again.
The real difference between the fat loss for idiots plan and other plans is that the diet is purposely confusing your body so it never thinks it is starving. Nutritionally fat loss 4 idiots is a reduced carb diet that cycles macro-nutrient ratios (to try and trick your metabolism). The creators of fat loss 4 idiots recommend common-sense weight loss principles and contains only whole foods (no processed foods, high-sugar foods, or supplements).
For people that do not eat meat there is also an option for a veggie fat loss 4 idiots. You can select this option and as a vegetarian you will have that option to go with your eating style.

One other problem with Fat loss for idiots is that you are supposed to eat until satisfied. Don’t stop when you are hungry and do not overeat but just until satisfied. But how much is satisfied? I am not sure what to say about this. People like to have a measured amount of food and doing it yourself is a little stressful.

There is no magic behind Fat Loss for Idiots but really what it is a good focused meal plan and sensible exercise for beginners. Although this may not seem like much it is very important in my mind to be doing something that will give you the satisfaction that you are making the changes in YOUR life that will help you lose weight. fitness guy, for me its a matter of leaving my comfort zone, i have been off the diet for close to a month now after a loss of 12lbs with WL4I and honestly have maybe 10 to 15 lbs to go. i got comfortable with the loss and now am back on day 2.

Hi all I was just wondering if anyone was doing any type of exercise along with this program? I know that its not really required but thought it would make a good discussion. I run slow “that’s my speed” and I like to do circuit training.
Cherie – I found that I lose the most weight on this diet doing the recommended hour of “brisk” walking each day. I do 2 half hour sessions per day. The walking targets the fat burning zone and not so much the calorie burning zone. Most people probably don’t take in enough calories on this diet to warrant burning a bunch of calories per day.

Thanks for letting me know your thought EH. All I found at Walmart was a Blue Bell Banana Split non fat yogurt, but I’m not in love with that flavor, the guy told me Sherbert was like a low fat yogurt, but maybe I should just got to Baskin Robbins on my yogurt days.
Hey Cherie, I haven’t started working out as of yet being that I have been working 10 hour days, but finally those days are over and I plan on starting this plan I found called Couch to 5k next week. It’s a 3 day a week walking/running program so I’ll see how that works, I’m just finishing day 4, Im so nervous to get on the scale on Day 11, but hopefully I will be pleasently surprised.

Nikki, I saw this in cool running last week it’s a good way to start running. You questioned the frozen yogurt Edy’s has a great line I have found it at both Walmart and Drug Mart my favorite is the caramel praline crunch. Let us know how day 11 goes, I know you will be surprised good luck.
Stonyfield Farms also has some decent tasting non-fat or low-fat frozen yogurts. Can use their website to see what stores carry it in your area.
What I liked best about the Fat Loss 4 Idiots weight loss program was its simplicity.
Yes, what i have seen is that people like the simplicity of fat Loss 4 Idiots and they also like that they get a lot of support in the comments to this post. The diet is funny because you go to this crazy sales site for the diet with all the garish bright colors and giant lettering and then once people finally get to buy the diet they are left with themselves, the ebook, the diet generator and a hope that the diet will actually work.
We have all seen all of these success stories and it really warms my heart to see so many people helping each other out.
Oh my God, I am so glad I found this page. It is exactly what “fitness guy” described in the comment above. I found this diet on the net and looked at the page, then looked at other pages for reviews/scam notices thinking I’m not really too sure about this. I mean $40 isn’t a lot but it’s a lot to waste if it’s a fluke you know? Well I finally bought it and realized it is all about yourself and the diet generator (which I’ve been carrying the print-out with me everywhere lol!). I’m on day 2 now and I’m not too fond of fruit day. lol! I ate my sandwich for dinner but I was pretty hungry ALL DAY! By my fourth meal I’m gonna be so sick of fruit. But here’s to hoping it works. I at least want to lose 5 lbs by the 11th day. I’m glad there are so many out there that are doing the same thing I am. I don’t feel so alone.
Oh, I am also doing cardio and strength training in intervals, I hope that doesn’t hurt anything.
The thing that has always been tough for me on this plan is staying away from breads. You are allowed a sandwich on fruit day but that is pretty much the only bread. Making a sandwich is so quick and easy that it is difficult for me to give it up.
Any foods that you guys/gals are having trouble staying away from?

Um, and you get the personnel diet generator that plans out your meals for you based on the foods you choose to best keep your metabolism pumped up. How about that. Should read a little more about something before you dis on it. Worked quite well for most everyone that has tried it. Including people like me that hit a wall in their weight loss. I’ve lost over 70+ pounds following the plan.
Larry..Seriously, this diet is awesome! I’m a lifetime member of weight watchers. It works for me but counting points gets tiresome. I’m a size 6, but love to eat and love to party and when my clothes get tight I find myself 20 lbs. up. I do Fat-Loss-for-Idiots and can lose up to 8.5 lbs. in 11 days. Then it’s time to have fun again. The diet is super easy to follow because it tells you exactly what to eat and you get to pick what you like! My favorite meal is breakfast and I get eggs and sausage. It doesn’t get any better than that! Don’t knock it until you try it…just sayin’…

It’s a one time $40 fee. You download the program with the diet generator and information. Then you can save the diet generator to your favorites or what not and access it whenever you need to.
Yes Mike is right. It is just a one time purchase for life. There is an option to get the guide and diet generator or a higher price ($55) to get an extra ebook with another version of the diet that is different. I think most people here are getting both since it is quite cheap but as you notice most people stick with the diet generator
No Larry, that is not at all what this diet is. Mike is right, as crazy as the sales page is for the diet they seem to have great success in helping people to lose weight using the Diet Generator
I haven’t posted in a while but here are some thoughts that I want to share. My wife and I tried this diet after weight watchers, South Beach and a few others. I lost 40lbs in 4 months, and she lost 30lbs. That was 2 years ago when I reached my lowest point. 2 years later, I am currently 5lbs above that mark. We both ride motorcycles and are always out with friends. Lunch is always happening during the rides and we found it was hard to diet during riding season. What we did find is that usually our weight didn’t go up much after we got off the diet. We would maybe go up around 5-6 lbs total as we kind of followed the diet some, even though we were off it. Then when we got frustrated, 2 weeks with 1 cheat day and I easily pulled off the weight and hit my mark again. I have enjoyed eating normal, and the diet for 2 years with no weight gain. This winter I will achieve another 15 lbs and then do the same thing next riding season. The diet does work, just don’t beat yourself up over it and get depressed. Lose some weight, go off it for a month but just don’t eat stupid things and keep smaller portions. Then when you feel motivated, just remember it is only 11 days of dieting and you are off again.
Where do you go to purchase? Is it safe to purchase? have you heard of any credit card fruad from result of the purchase?
Melanie, I can’t find anywhere in the diet advertising that you were promised appetizing recipes or the same old same old diet you’ve likely to have done in the past. No, you don’t get to dis this diet until you’ve done it. Instead of griping about something you know nothing about, please TRY THE DIET. It is NOT pleasantly appetizing, though it is easy to follow and will give you quick results. Most of us gladly sacrifice the lack of variety and seeming ridiculousness of the combinations for the wonderful results we get. That is what you diet for, right? To lose weight? This diet especially breaks the biological dependencies on sugar and fat that enable you to change your eating habits forever. So give it 11 days, following the plan exactly. Go ahead, you can do it! And you’ll have a lot of extra time on your hands from not having to shop extensively or measure and make specific meals, let alone dawdle over dinner. Try it. Try it. Do it. [If not, you can get a refund.]

You said you purchased the diet the night before your review and already it is worthless.
How can you review something that you haven’t tried? Looking at the menu I am sure it’s not what you were expecting it wasn’t for me either. I wasn’t use to eating scrambled eggs with tuna either but it works. Don’t be so negative, you purchased the diet like the rest of us because you want or need to loose weight right? Give it a shot you can run the diet generator as many times as you want until you find one that looks appetizing. Please try it and for 11 days and then give us a review it does work. I haven’t posted anything in a while because I am not following the diet right now do to my training for my first marathon but I have lost 15lbs using wl4i and I am loving the results. once my marathon is over in three weeks I do plan on returning to the diet. i wish you good luck!

I think it is unfair to tell people such negative things about the diet when you have spent all of 10 minutes looking it over. You have to learn to be creative with it. We put salsa on fish and cook it and it is actually outstanding. Maybe it isn’t for you, but it works for me. You obviously are set that it doesn’t work, but you obviously are over weight so why not give it a try before judgment.

I like to see people disagree with me as it adds a lot to the conversation but in this case it was terrible. Here is how I answer some of these questions that people throw out there including her.
The diet is not worth it – Well for $39 there is a plan, and a diet, and a workbook to tell you the what and why of the diet. Also you eat food from the grocery store so it is cheap to follow
You eat strange food combinations – People might not like this but if you are trying to lose weight then you expect to eat differently and after the diet is over you will go back to a reasonable diet
It is a fad diet – The diet is strange but still balanced foodwise so it will work and keep you healthy as you lose weight.
There is no way to buy the product when you go to the page – Sorry but the Fat loss 4 idiots guys make you click through a few pages until you get to their 50% off link (hate to say it but Fat loss 4 idiots has always been 50% off) and then you can click to buy. I can put a link to the page if you would like.
